I am thinking this - I saw her at 16 weeks and she said the next one wasn't till 28 weeks and she would take the bloods for the anti d (this is my 3rd pregnancy and I've had no particular probs in the past so am hoping that's why the large gap in appts)
I am seeing my consultant after my 20 week scan on 16th Feb but the midwife commented on this and asked why he wanted to see me like it was unusual - I said I didn't know (perhaps to give me date/book in for elective section?)
Either way will give her a call as I'll have to get hold of the MATB1 either way before my scheduled 28 week appointment ;)

there is a big gap for 2nd 3rd children etc i had a 12 week and then a 28 week appt and now I have to wait till 36 weeks

you can get your matb1 from the gp though - i just phoned up and the receptionist sorted it out and got doc to sign it between patients then I went and picked it up which was easy.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

That makes sense then - thanks for the info re the MATB1 - will try my GP ;)

GB, I got my MatB1 yesterday at 22 weeks, I'm sure it says on the back you can get it from 20 weeks.

Dusty - We went for the beige carpet in the end to match the landing and the stairs. Try as I might to like the dark pink options we have, I just couldn't cope with the thought of 2 different colour pinks upstairs lol. It's being fitted on Friday so I'm very excited our baby's room is nearly done :j

Both mummies and mummies to be - what are you plans for LO/s should anything happen to you and your OH? I've been giving this a lot of thought lately as DH and I haven't prepared any wills - we always thought we would wait for our first child to come along first. I'm thinking that I will probably ask my sister and her OH to have legal responsibility for baby should anything happen to us both - but obv I need to speak to her first! The child will have Godparents that are friends, but I think if anything were to happen, it's best for the child to stay within the family. I know its a bit of a morbid topic, but thoughts please :)
  • I'm obviously not quite with it this morning as I missed this page. :o:rotfl:

Annibee, hope you feel better and manage to get some chocolate.

GB, my last consultant appointment was just like a normal one to start with and I saw a midwife first. You should be able to get your MatB1 there I would have thought.

I got my MATB1 form at 20 weeks.

Nice day off today, just got some washing on. Going to start sorting through my house later and get rid of stuff that I wont be taking with me when I move in to OH's house. Also debating whether to sell my hose and have a chunk of money or rent it out and all the potential hassles that may bring!

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and moving up the list scaringly fast!

Hope everyone is OK and labour vibes to those in need x

Glad you went for the beige, that's what we have done in the baby's room. My mum is coming to clean it all up for us this weekend (god love the nanna!) and then I can unpack all those boxes that are piling up in the corner. OH is keen to get the cot up this weekend too. Hopefully by tea time on sunday it is all done, we need to share pics :D

I haven't even thought about bubs if anything happenend to us. Neither me or OH have wills but I keep on at OH to get one done. TBH I'm very cautious about planning anything for after bubs is here. Won't even think about christenings, godparents, the future in general til I know bubs is here all happy and healthy. That's the superstitious streak in me though and I'm sure all will be well.

I have a list of things to do once bubs is here and we know all is well, including registering the birth, opening a child savings account etc, I'll add making a will onto that too. Looks like I'll be busy....:D

    Hiya Folks,
Just about back in the land of the living ie out of nights but still feel like I wanna go to bed now!!! Forcing myself to stay up. But having a CBA day for sure. I can see loads that need to be done but dont want to do them. Althought the thought of DH coming home tonight and looking about fills me with dread!!!

Sammy, we haven't done the will thing either and we did discuss what we would like for little one if something were to happen to us. We did take out life insurances each for quite a bit a couple of years ago so there would be plenty of cash but we would probably choose DH big sis and her family (3 kids) as, if we were really honest, her hubby has a brilliant job and earn lots and they would give our little one a great lifestyle.
It's a bit naughty but we will talk to them about it once little one is here and doing well.

Not much else happening with me. I have all the episodes of OBEM to watch along with other things that have been sky+ with me having been on nights so suspect I will camp out on the sofa for the rest of the day and incur the wrath of DH when he gets in tonight!!!!!

Oh, almost forgot. Nina rose is just beautiful!!!!!!!!!
