  • Sleep well madbird.

I'm hoping for a fairly early night. Our kitten had an upset tum in our room at 4.30 this morning. By the time we cleaned it up and I went back to bed (DH stayed up with her just in case) my pelvis was really sore. Finally dropped back off sometime after 6.20.

I liked the male midwife too, much better than most I've seen on there. I wasn't quite as freaked by last night's ep, although I flet odd at the mention of sutures for the Polish girl. I'm much better with needles than I used to be, but... *shudder*

Oooh, it's Big Fat Gypsy Weddings tonight isn't it?
 Mummy to an amazing little girl
  • Dusty - I had to get mine from Holland and Barrett, I dont think that any of the supermarkets will sell it.

Well not long back from dinner and I am totally stuffed, had a fantastic meal and really overdone it.lol. Ive now had a bath and going to have a cuppa and a raspberry donought!!!(always room for a wee bit more) I've got the MW tomorrow for my 38 week app, got a couple of questions for her, but does anyone know if there are any specific questions I should be asking at my stage. Cant believe that im due in 2 weeks time, wish that the time would go by a bit quicker, I am desperate to meet my bubba.

 This thread is quiet we were on the second page!

Am going away on the weekend here if anyone is interested and there is a hot tub that I really want to use. What's the general consensous on hut tubs during pregnancy I know I read not to use them in first trimester but will it be ok now? We booked this before finding out I was pregnant and I really want to make the most of it!:)
I did read the entire thread when I first found out I was pregnant and I think maybe fantafan stayed in one of these? Although I may have made it up

Also, my next maternity jeans came today - I ordered a 12 (usually wear a 10) and they are huge and saggy on the bum - should I return them (they were a sale bargain) or will I grow into them? Am going to have to buy more so if anyone has seen any nice maternity jeans that won't break the bank please let me know!

    My baby needs this :rotfl:

Also, anyone else experienced breech babies after 37 weeks turning??? I am guessing it will be obvious to me if baby makes a move to the head-down position?

janinie, I remember reading someone posting that baby turned right at the last minute (can't remember who though, brain like a sieve today). Think they were just about to have a c section and did a final scan and baby was the right way around, but definitely remember reading something along those lines so there is hope for you yet.

It was me! I had an unsuccessful ECV and was booked for a c-sec, during the wait I had acupuncture specific for getting a baby to turn (I have no idea if it worked or would have happened naturally) then the night before my section unbeknown to me at the time she turned at 38.5 weeks she was small though so had some room. When they scanned me in the hospital and told me I knew exactly when it happened as I had had a very funny turn the evening before and had to sit down immediately, as all of a sudden I felt very dizzy and sea sick it actually felt like I was on a boat, a couple of minutes later it was gone again a very wierd sensation.

LOL someone at work mentioned them this afternoon and since then I have been desperate for some. I thought she said you could get them in Asda and went to have a look (on the pretence of buying bread LOL :o) but couldn't see any! Boooo

They sell them in Morrisons I get them occasionally as they are expensive from memory about £1.80 for a 6 pack, and also in Makro about 30 on a card for about £8 (pub pack)

:D. I had your name in the back of my head PC, but wasn't sure! I knew it was a good story anyhow :D

You lot have just reminded me, I had an obsession with scampi fries when I first got pg, I couldn't think where to get them and a couple of pubs I tried didn't have them :(. Went on for a good couple of weeks wanting them but not being able to find any! Then I spotted them in macro but you had to buy a whole sheet of them, maybe 24 packets!! I had one crisp and was almost sick :o. Lucky OH likes them!!

Just had a huge row with OH. Over something really stupid, but he wouldn't stop arguing no matter what I said :(. Only just calmed down enough to get to bed now, gonna be a long day tomorrow :(.

Hugs and appropriate vibes to everyone who needs them xx
  • Thanks ladies, helps to know what to expect. I am fully expecting to be sore, but hopefully it will all be worth it. The belt sounds interesting :rotfl: I saw that Mothercare do a sort of support belt thing for £35, expensive, does anyone have one?
My leg/hip really hurts and just want to stretch it out and try and get some relief but won't as scared I'll make it worse!

Glad baby's growing well GL :D

The physio gave me my belt DP so hold off buying anything until you see them xxx

I have my physio appointment next week, am dreading it now! x

VB sorry sweetie but don't be dreading it...I have been putting it off for the past few weeks and would probably have not been as sore had I gone and got it sorted when it was first flaring....I have been grand today and have been able to get stuff done around the house....went to antenatal class tonight and wore the band and was actually able to sit without looking as though I had a bee in my bum lol

Enjoy your weekend away hun...I bought a groupon deal for me and hubby and just have to find the right time in the next 5 weeks to use it :S lol...might try and persuade him to take a day or 2 off midweek hehe

As for your maternity jeans I would probably send them back if they are really saggy although my bum has changed shape (which my hubby constantly complains about lol)

As for that crib......are you Posh Spice or something being able to afford that :P hehe

Thanks RBG, I won't buy anything yet :) I bought a Theraline pillow on recommendation from someone on B&B but it doesn't help at all. Luckily I got it quite cheap, but still was a waste of money I could do with.
Bl%dy car tax took £112 from me yesterday as well

Better go to bed in a bit I suppose... :o Night everyone xx

Apricot, hope you enjoy your weekend. I'm not sure what to do about the hot tub. I thought it was the whole way through pg you shouldn't use them. Fanta did go away after Xmas I think. I think she just had a quick dip though.
I mentioned before I've always been nervous to have a hot bath incase I 'cooked' the baby. If I have one it is just under my bump. If your in a hot tub you would be fully immersed.
Maybe call you MW and ask what she advises. I'm sure a quick dip would be ok.

I've got up this morning and my bump is a totally different shape. It's smaller and really low down. I thought it didn't drop low until the last few weeks?

Hope your all well. Labour vibes to chakani and sjp. Good luck with being induced flower by tomorrow you'll be having mummy cuddles.
