I've been researching a little round the net and only one person had a bad review of the website and that was that the wheel fell off, so seems to be something quite simple to fix. Seems quite a few people have bought from there and were quite happy with it. The most common 'faults' that are the reason for the low price seem to be people saying there were a couple of scratches on the chassis and stuff. I think I'll bite the bullet and buy from them in a couple of weeks. It's a £90 saving after all so even if the problem is a wheel falling off, I'm sure I can find a replacement wheel for less than that.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

ooo im liking this one

i already have a car seat for my travel system but its a pain to get in and out the car, plus both together are cheaper than some of the buggies ive been looking at.
My travel system is great until they are around 6 months, but its too big (Chicco trio) for use in the car and up stairs etc. I love my light weight Maclaren. The travel system wasnt really a waste of money as I loved using the carry cot and it had the car seat. but looking back id of been happy with a simple from birth stroller for practical use.
Ooooh that's the one I'm looking at, just I'm looking at the grey/yellow version. I looked at the video on the Petite star website and the carseat bit seems really easy to clip in. I was also attracted to the fact that it's parent facing whilst the baby's really small as I want to be able to keep an eye on baby at first.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

On the way back from my meeting yesterday we stopped for some lunch and I saw this girl with her buggy and she just clicked a button and the handle flipped round to make baby front facing while they sat at table , not sure how the buzz works , but I had pram envy it was gorgeous. It was a nice cream/stone colour , not practical for me in that colour tho, not sure what make it was , it looked expensiveThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Thanks everyone re washable nappies. I've learnt a lot about them today. I am going to use the old style flat terry square foldable nappies. Like many our income has dropped a lot & out expenses have risen so I want to make savings where ever we can. This seems like a really good place to start. The fancy washable nappies are still quite expensive but the old style ones...well you really can't but save money using them. Especially with my council giving me £30 refund on washable nappies I buy0

I just had a wee read on the thread you started, some fab info. Its got me excited about using mine now. Let me know what wraps you are going for.Im going to do a bit of research and find the cheapest Motherease ones. Im not sure about sizes though.
I just had a look on my council website and coudnt find anything about nappies. Was there something posted on yours or did you have to hunt for it?
btw ive checked my very old Napisan and it looks fine lol. I might invest in some more though.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Just trying to find out on t'internet how to switch my quinny over from front to rear facing, cant find anything. Think it might be a faff to do because it says you can adjust the seat base. Nothing about clicking a button , lol Still at least I have the optionThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Well the panicky portuguese lady (grandmother) had a celebration over the saving and bought the city bug travel system! Means that if cousin is around to take me to hospital/collect me from hospital, we have a car seat too! And also will be useful when we go round their house as he usually picks us up. It's too early to buy a buggy so I'm sort of having a weird panic in my head. Grandmother is just too organised! :PA-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Our council are on Facebook. They have a recycling & refuse page & are very good at answering any questions you post on there. I was told by a friend they ran a scheme & asked on Facebook about it. I'm just waiting to find out if there is still money in the pot this year as they only give out so much each year. Their year runs from the end of August for some reason. Hopefully they have the cash available. If not I still plan on buying some as I have vouchers for Boots I was going to use for disposable ones
I'm not sure what wraps I'll use. It's still a bit confusing...if I've got it right I need a throw away or washable liner, the flat nappy & then a wrap. I know I need a lot less wraps, hopefully 4 will be enough. I might even try the plastic pants rather than wraps as they are even cheaper.0
