I took a mad turn yesterday as I was fed up with the turn ups in my jeans getting all soggy and dirty. So I took the scissors to my jeans and lopped of 2 inches on each leg, they fit much better now, if not a little frayed at the edges.
Sure that's all the range now anyway Nic lol.....I have the same problem as you btw regarding boots, I payed hockey so have huge calves and can never find boots to fit so the sock idea sounds very koolThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Lol @ RBG
Can i ask an odd question? I have found with this and my last prenancy that i get very nervous and paranoid about the slightest things. Is that normal? Does anyone do the same?
I start to get panicky about nothing, or i get it into my head that my work colleagues don't like me-(maybe they don't?!)
It makes me withdraw and go quiet. I dunno, maybe i'm being stupid, but it makes me upset and i get all emotional. Is it just me?:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

I had this about 3 - 4 weeks before I went on maternity leave and had a return to work with my line manager as I had been off sick for a few days, and during this I broke down (I was having a very hormonal day that day :S).....she turned it into a whole episode and made me name names and stuff like that....long story short one of the girls then wouldn't speak to me and I wasn't sure why so I asked her and it turned out myu LM had said I had accused her and one other girl of bullying me which was far from the truth but it made my last few weeks of work truly unbearable.....thankfully I got it sorted out and the other girl has complained so to make sure that it was known I hadn't accused her of any such thing I sent her an email through work expressing that I had not said any such thing.....does that make sense??? lol even now I get paranoid about family stuff and what my hubby thinks of me spending the day in my jammies....he tells me to stop being silly of course lolThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -

If you're 6th, then I must be 5th. *panic panic panic*. OK HM, deep breaths, deep breaths. Just because EDD is less than 2 weeks away (starts hyperventillating, and reaches for comfort food).
Just bought some travel toilettries from boots (5 for the price of 4) to take in to hospital as I don't want to lug full-sized bottles in. I thought about getting the little empty bottles to fill, but they were about the same price as a full mini bottle.
Right time to get on my ball and get this baby shifted from back-to-back to something a bit nicer. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

Madbird, sorry to hear about the scan. At least you get another look at bubs, you'll have to have words beforehand and tell them to behave!
I've decided to say to baby "look, just on this one occasion open your legs like mummy had to when you were conceived so we can see what you are, then firmly shut them until you are at least 25!" lol!:rotfl:Well the panicky portuguese lady (grandmother) had a celebration over the saving and bought the city bug travel system! Means that if cousin is around to take me to hospital/collect me from hospital, we have a car seat too! And also will be useful when we go round their house as he usually picks us up. It's too early to buy a buggy so I'm sort of having a weird panic in my head. Grandmother is just too organised! :P
I looked at that today, price attracted me. Not sure if it looks too small compared to me!!Hi girls,
Just a quick message to say little Hanna was born 22nd Jan weighing 6lbs 1oz after being induced. Labour was quick and painful but can honestly say I can no longer remember the pain. Thanks for all your support.
I'll be back to check who else has given birth and how everyone is once I have a moment.

Many congratulations, her name is in my top 5:)
Thanks everyone for your words today, guess its just I've built myself up for finding out and getting the green light as it were to start having a little spend on baby things. Oh well, 2 weeks and counting! Since scan baby has been mega active, have felt harsh movements all day, think sonographer dislodged him/her and moved them somewhere different!!:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -
I'm still around, but having to entertain my mum as well as 2yo DS - not sure who takes more entertaining :rotfl:
But mum has been fantastic, and made us all dinner last night, and then washed up while we put DS to bed - it was like being on a posh holiday, she is wonderful.
She has also helped me sort out the birthing room (dining room) so there is a cupboard in the sideboard full of all the things we could possibly need, down to knickers and pyjamas for me for afterwards, and biscuits for the midwives. She has even planted up some winter primroses for the front window sill - not that the curtains will be open for me to see them!!
I feel surprisingly calm about finally having got to the top of the list, thought I would be more nervous by now, but I'm feeling ok about it all at the moment. Long may that lastI am really looking forward to my homebirth, but am a bit nervous that I've virtually committed myself to no pain relief but entonox and water. I know I could still go to hospital, but hoping there is no need.

Congratulations Lwucas!
Just had 28 week appointment. Baby is fine and am measuring 29 cm so all good. I have got a trace of protein in urine and my blood pressure was a bit high (I think that is all the stress of the blood tests etc!) so have to be aware if I have any bad headaches or start seeing flashing lights to call hopsital...slightly worrying. She said to come back slightly early for next appointment so am going at 31 weeks rather than 32 which I am meant to.
I did manage to get her to sign HIP grant form so fingers crossed will get the money. I showed her the email I had about how many weeks and think she felt bad as she had told other ladies they couldn't have it.0 -

Glad baby is doing well. Good that they are keeping an eye on you. I have the opposite, I have a low blood pressure, which is fine just means I need to be careful and not get up too quickly. I've had a couple of dizzy spells.
Hope you manage to get the HIP grant! I missed out by 2 weeks - typical!0 -

I'm the same about the pain relief, although I've ordered a TENS machine tonight, as I dont have a birthing pool (would the bath do???:rotfl:) I'm hoping positive thinking & staying upright will get me through.....
I'm quite prepared for it all to go tits up though :rotfl::rotfl:Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:
