Thank you girls, I am so exhausted I couldn't go for bloods. I managed to walk down the mountain but felt really faint and weird. My neighbour was passing luckily and gave me a lift home.

So no doppler/scan but I just know baby is ok. Thank god I cross over to 2nd tri tomorrow.

  • Just had my 34 wk appt, all is well, head is very far down and midwife seems to think Im going to go early and asked if I had my bags packed yet. Ummm, nope, best get onto that then lol.

I have SPD, it was confirmed today, she was going to refer me to physio but I said there wasnt any point as I dont really have that long left and it would just be a nightmare getting to the hospital and back etc, I have codeine at home so will just take that as and when.

    Next appt in 2 weeks.

Right must dash (ha, yeah right) and go pick dd up from the minders.

That's very interesting because Alice seems to have come up with the idea of sharing all by herself too. She was particularly concerned about the baby having toys and is planning to share hers. She's also expecting to share a room and look after it in the night - she's told me I'll need to express milk so she can feed the baby milk from bottles.

Thanks to everyone who replied :) I think I presumed as my OH had some physio recently that I'd need to pay too, but seems I get it on the NHS. Downside is I have to wait until 15th February to be seen! And it's at the hospital, so got a half hour drive then pay for parking. There is a place that does physio nearer to me, but apparently they are booked up until March. She will ring me if they get a cancellation though.

I tried the pillow thing last night, seemed to help a bit. I don't know if it's worth getting one of those long body pillows?

I wish I'd seen the doc earlier now, but just put it down to the usual aches and pains pregnancy brings. Trouble is I'll be 29 weeks then, so I think it's gonna be even worse by the time I'm seen as I'll only get heavier :(

Sorry, very much having a 'woe is me' day today :(

Just seen your reply Giz, thanks very much :) I will keep up with the pillows, and maybe an extra one behind my head.
I wish we had a dining chair to sit on, but this house is too small for a table :( We're looking to move soon though, so this is on the list as an essential as I really miss my table. Our couch is not great for the posture. It is very squidgy and I am constantly having to pull myself up. I find sitting in the car is more comfortable as have quite good seats in there. Hmm.

SJP - congrats on your last day at work! Sounds like you were thoroughly spoilt by them ;) Have fun tonight!
Put pillows and cushions on your sofa so your back is straight and add cushions under your bum so your pelvis is higher than your knees :) That might help a bit? Otherwise if you've got room, get a gym ball to sit on to help with posture.

SusanC - yes the shift pattern will work out quite good I think. Plus side is as well hopefully baby won't have to be in childcare all the time when i go back work as he gets days off in the week.

Finally got my anti d done, rang at quarter past 3 and they had results, had to rush over as they shut at 4 and some nice lady gave me her parking ticket which was still valid so didn't have to fork out another 4 quid. I had the jab in my left arm and it did hurt a bit and arm feels a bit achy. Bareable though! Have another one at 34 weeks...

Now just got 28 week midwife appointment tomorrow ...lets hope that is less eventful.

    Hello ladies!

Back from midwife appointment. She must have been having a bad day last time as she was LOVELY this time. We found baby's heartbeat quite easily, all of my blood test results were fine (i now have a stack of sheets stuck in the folder, they took 10 tubes of blood in total) and she's told me that the assistant midwife will contact me for extra support and perhaps to join some groups. Yay!

Also, found out that the classes offered on the NHS here are NCT classes so the same as the ones you pay for. :O Also got my healthy start form and stuff so everything seems to be going well. Also then grandmother bought some bibs and another cuddle robe in boots so good day overall.

Oh and most importantly, I got a new pee pot. :D

Yay my bump buddy is back....bad lappy for breaking and not letting you on :( big hugs and hot water bottles for the back and pelvis pain.....my Dr was lovely today when she was doing all my measurements and said that the measurement of the bump to the pelvis would be uncomfy but I found it ok :)
