Morning all, looks like we might have some action following yesterday's sweep. Plug seems to be coming away and mild contractions too.

Waited till the alarm went off to tell OH and he said he would work from home today, but promptly turned over and said he would get some extra kip first!

I've been awake most of the night excited that things might be happening, could do with a snooze myself but don't want to risk things tailing off.

Thank god for MSE to keep me occupied.
    Yeah :T
Hope things develop quickly for you and you get to finally meet your little one today :j

    Morning :D

Oooh MI3 fingers crossed that this is the real thing, c'mon baby Mummy needs cuddles now!

Sequeena that is shocking treatment! Sounds like you were right to discharge yourself for your own sanity!

RBG how did the ante natal class go? Hope you enjoyed it.

Coops not too many shifts to go now, bet you're glad!

Wonder if we'll get an announcement from lwcus soon?

I had a good sleep last night and don't think I woke up until DD climbed into bed beside me at 7am. I am lucky with the lack of toilet trips now but I think it's because I'm possible not drinking enough during the day.

MI3 - Good Luck! :). Hope it truely is the start for you.

Teenie - I wish i could hold my bladder overnight. I generally have about 3-4 trips although i have hip problems in this pregnancy so takes me 5 mins to actually get myself up. In fact i have to use the headboard to lever myself. lol.

I got so upset last night irrational i know lol. We have debt and are sorting it but i am working my butt off ebaying things to clear the debt and my hubby ebays things to buy more things for himself. Wouldnt mind so much but mentioned i wanted some Bumgenius nappies last night and he just smiled and walked away. grrrrr. He gets everything and i get nothing and hes a pig lol. I'll get some even if i have to save for months lol.

@Teenie - lwcus did say she might be a week in updating. Lets hope she is having loads of mummy cuddles.
Hope everyone is doing well. Havent been able to read back as the thread is moving so fast and I cant keep up.

My sickness is back with avengance which isnt very nice at all. Im 16 weeks now and only had a 1 week break from it so its disappointing.
I think I have felt the baby move, twice so far. Little flutter like things it was, I had to ask my mum if it was the baby and she thinks it was after I did a little demonstration on her arm to show what it was like. :D
I have had some holiday from work but that is over now and I have work from tomorrow, Im not really looking forward to it. I wonder if the stress is what is causing the sickness to be back?

Can anyone tell me who I need to contact about my 16 week appointment? The midwife or my GP? It doesnt say which on my maternity book thing. Thanks.
It does move quick doesn't it? It's much easier now I'm on maternity leave and a lady of leisure :D

I would phone the GP/Midwife to ask who to make appointments with. I had to make my appointments through the GP receptionist. But later appointments were made direct with the midwife.

I hope the sickness goes away soon. I was just saying to OH last night that even the pelvic pain, odd vomitting and diarhea and random rubbish nights sleeps I'm getting now are still sooooo much better than having 24/7 nausea. I know I was so miserable around that time.

Congrats to Sarah and 2girls :) enjoy your mummy cuddles hehe Can't wait to meet my little one hehe...btw has anyone heard from my bump buddy Hitchins????

I want a bumgenious nappy to try but don't remember seeing the voucher in the bounty pack....am at the hospital tomorrow for my 34 week check up might pick up a second one lol.
Don't recall seeing Hitchins for a while. I haven't seen oxclaireox in ages either.

I don't think the nappy offer is in the newer book. So will depend which book you got.

  • Morning ladies! Is anyone else convinced that they are going to have their baby early?! I don't know why I am but I am and it is freaking me out. Not like a couple of weeks early. I'm thinking between 30-35 weeks gone early!

    I think i'm going nuts! :(

Sickness is back as is heartburn. I hear you on the hip pain too. My back is so bad it is unreal. But apart from that i'm just trying to stay upbeat and deal with whatever is chucked at me. :)

Giz, can you invite me to the group? I'm friends with Lily on there as EA said to be but I can't see it?

Lily isn't on the fb group anymore, i accidently removed her. :o

I had to reativate my fishes fb account and change the name to my name so i could get on again. Btw, my fish only has a fb because i used it for comps :p

Not sure what to do today, probably should package up my eBay stuff and send it. But im lazy :p
  • Morning all

    Labour vibes to you MI3

Congrats to the ladies with new arrivals! :T

Coops - re the anti d jab location - perhaps another thing that varies from area to area? - lol! - I think it's only recently changed here to the arm - before that it was deffo in the bot cheek!

Ice - re baby's sleeping arrangements during the day I am trying to cast my mind back to what I did when mine were young.
I had a moses basket (well for as long as they fitted in it) but I only used in the cot at night time (I wanted to make a clear distinction between day and night from the start - curtesy of whatever book I was reading back then I think - seemed to work ok though :o)
From memory when we were at home in the day DS and DD fell asleep pretty much anywhere and everywhere - on play mat - on my lap etc...
I used to put them in the middle of my king size bed on a pillow (obviously when I was still in room) and I recall DS falling asleep on sofa when he was very young and couldn't roll about
I'm not sure what I'll do for this time but prob similar x
