I would never have coped with the test anyway as the lack of food would have made me sick, and drinking the sugar would've made me sick, and having the blood test would've made me cry/pass out/be sick.
Baby has been giving me lots of backpain and stomach pain the past few days, but none of it has come to anything yet.....
Am making the most of no baby and baking pecan pie for DH. Will catch up with things when it's in the oven.
I'm wondering how i'm going to cope with the test to be honest. Night time is always worse for me with regards eating. I just get so hungry!
Hopefully i'll get through it. Can't justify it enough to hubby to not have it and he's being mega supportive.
In other news ladies... Very good news I might add!!! I am sooooo glad I hired an accountant to do my taxes! He's figured out a way where I am entitled to Maternity Allowance!! OMG!!! I'm so chuffed. I know it isn't a lot but it's such a weight off my mind that i'll have some money of my own coming in for bubs should I need it!!!

Aw fab news Charlie what a relief for you!:j"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0

Any recommendations?
If you already have baby seat and pram check they fit in the car. If pram fits, check there will be room to put your shopping in the boot as well! Also I prefer 5 door to 3 door.
Just a quick note to say that https://www.fill-your-pants.com is having a clearance sale with free UK delivery. Worth checking out if you need any reusable nappy bits and bobs.

Hi all!
sorry, not read back all the previous pages, just wanted to let you all know that my scan went well, and baby was co-operative this time!! Its amazing how much they change between the first scan and now! All was well, baby growing as it should. Didn't find out the flavour-grrrrrrr OH!!!! So he got his own way! Oh well, i'll get my own back by making him paint the little room from blue to cream lol and by buying some nice unisex clothes!!! And i didn't have to pay for my pics as i let the student who was in there as well have a little practise on me after the main bit had been done lol although she did keep 'losing' baby lol
Hope everyone else is ok!!0 -
Apricot it says in my book not to stop the flow cause you train your body to not empty bladder fully. Its best to practice while sitting watching tv or sitting at work, but still imagine that your stopping a wee , just dont actually stop one if you know what I meanThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Nice to see that the insomniacs club was quiet last night. I'm taking that as a good thing!!!
Have a lovely day ladies, labour vibes to those in need, sticky vibes to those who want and general hugs to everyone else!!!
I am sooooo going to be looking forward to getting to my bed this morning. 6 more shifts and I will be just about on maternity leave!!!! Wooo Hooooo
I didn't get to bed until about 2am, but no one else was posting on here so I kept quiet :rotfl: Glad some of you were able to get a good night's sleep. I wish I could sleep as much as I could in the earlier weekssarahangel wrote: »Morning all
Sorry been MIA for past few days but I've been a bit on edge.
Just to let you know I'll be cue jumping, waters broke at 5am and I'm in active labour now.
Love and hugs to ladies and bumps and I'll update you as soon as I can xxx
Good luck Sarah! How exciting!:j:j:jWHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!:j:j:j
On a good note, the post just came and I've finally made it through the waiting list for cognitive behavioural therapy! Have an appointment with a psychotherapist on Tuesday. I'm so happy I could literally cry. Especially as a few days ago I started thinking the 'dark thoughts' again, as I like to call them and I feel like mood meter is dipping dangerously low. Also I can get over OCD, paranoia and my irrational phobias and perhaps I can FINALLY get a definitive answer as to whether I am bipolar like my mother or not. (hoping for not) *happy sigh*
I really hope they can do something for you hun. I have seen someone once to start this, and then followed up with a couple of calls. I haven't found it helpful at all, infact when I am having an 'ok day' I don't want to think about feeling down. Just want to get on with it. Then she goes and sends me paperwork about depression - I haven't looked at it. She hasn't actually started any of the CBT yet, just keeps dawdling. Think I'm going to tell her I don't want it now, I went through several dark months on my own, and feel a bit better now on my own. I had days I'd sit and cry and cry my eyes out. Horrible.
I really hope it's different for you hun. I am the same in that we relocated and I don't know anyone around here. I'm going to go to some groups once baby is here, and make sure I get out and about.
About the internal during labour. This is also something I am dreading. I find smear tests very uncomfortable, had one failed one and then plucked up the courage to rebook about a year later because of Jade Goody. TBH this was what made me do it and get on with it. They managed to do it and it was all fine, but not looking forward to my next one again. I do find DTD uncomfortable at times, certainly when we first get going - TMI sorry
I want to have a water birth and wasn't aware that they'd need to do an internal first. Glad I watched OBEM so I can be prepared. TBH there are far worse things I DON'T want to have i.e. epidural, episiotomy, c-section, so will put up with an internal. If I need G&A then so be it, there are no medals for having less pain relief
When I go into labour, OH should be able to get here in about 20 minutes. That's if I'm at home and he's at work when it happens. I'm hoping my waters don't go in bed or something! Will have to get a shower curtain to sleep onI just want OH at birth, no other family members.
Yawn. Better get some lunch now.0
