    Hi all!
sorry, not read back all the previous pages, just wanted to let you all know that my scan went well, and baby was co-operative this time!! Its amazing how much they change between the first scan and now! All was well, baby growing as it should. Didn't find out the flavour-grrrrrrr OH!!!! So he got his own way! Oh well, i'll get my own back by making him paint the little room from blue to cream lol and by buying some nice unisex clothes!!! And i didn't have to pay for my pics as i let the student who was in there as well have a little practise on me after the main bit had been done lol although she did keep 'losing' baby lol
    Hope everyone else is ok!!

Glad it all went well. do you have a picture? we like pictures.

Ive just managed to book a Sun (newspaper that is) caravan holiday for 4 nights in July. :j Its not very exciting as we are going to Saltcoats, which is a wee sunny seaside town on West coast of Scotland. But we are using it as a base to visit friends and family who all stay close by. Im so relevied as it was too expensive to stay in B&Bs and we didnt want to stay with anyone for the full week. We might ask to stay the weekend before or after at my sisters to give us more time.

The only issue is what will a 2month old baby be like in a caravan? Ill be worried about noise all the time. Ill be busy those 2 months sleep training the baby lol

Apricot it says in my book not to stop the flow cause you train your body to not empty bladder fully. Its best to practice while sitting watching tv or sitting at work, but still imagine that your stopping a wee , just dont actually stop one if you know what I mean

Still on the wee wee theme :rotfl:
One of the best tips I found for pregnancy (think it was my consultant told me)
When you have finished your wee stay seated for a bit and rock gently backwards and forwards to help completely empty your bladder - this seems to work well for me.

I get synesthesia, and the type I have means that when I hear sounds, especially names, I perceive colours. Can make things interesting when we're choosing baby names.

    Thats fab.....

Could I be really cheeky and ask about Imogen Louisa??? We really love the name.....

    Hi All

Thanks for the wishes/advice last night.....

I'm still with us, at work at the minute as need to get the month end accounts finished before bubs comes...

Went to bed at 9 and slept well, except for waking more often for the loo, period pain was bearable through the night..... Its getting bad again now though, really bad period pains and lower back ache, making me feel sick..... Can feel bubs really low down, so not sure whether this is the start of anything, but its been almost 24 hours now.... What do you all think???

Could be the start of something hun, but you know what it's like from other ladies on here, these pains could go on for a few days. Are you ok at work though? Just take care of yourself and remember work doesn't really matter at the end of the day (says her who is working her ML round the month end LOL).

On the subject of shaving legs from this afternoon... I can no longer do the whole of my legs unless I get into some awkward positions, and as for the bikini line, I've not been able to reach round my bump to get there for some time! Am going to have to ask DH to sort it out for me lol!
I want to have a water birth and wasn't aware that they'd need to do an internal first. Glad I watched OBEM so I can be prepared. TBH there are far worse things I DON'T want to have i.e. epidural, episiotomy, c-section, so will put up with an internal. If I need G&A then so be it, there are no medals for having less pain relief

At my hospital, they won't let you in the pool until 5cm, and they have to physically check you (as I suppose you can seem like you are further along but aren't iyswim), not sure if it's the same everywhere though. But however you give birth (except CS) there will be regular internals to check progress, just something they have to do to make sure you are progressing. Best to be prepared for this, but after reading about vaginismus I can see this would be a real problem for some and I really hope it isn't awful for you.
