Apricot it says in my book not to stop the flow cause you train your body to not empty bladder fully. Its best to practice while sitting watching tv or sitting at work, but still imagine that your stopping a wee , just dont actually stop one if you know what I mean

The physio at antenatal class told us to occasionally try to stop your flow as it helps to know if things are working properly but not to be doing it everytime you visit the toilet lol

Edited to add Woohooo Charlie bet that is a weight off!!!!
The pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 2011

On that note - mine is v weak already - I can't even stop myself when Im having a wee - I try and do the exercises (when I remember) but I don't think it's having much effect!:o

It may be worth trying to keep going with the excercise throughout the pregnancy and if you have problems afterwards have a word with your GP as there are all sorts of ways to correct poor pelvic floor. Plus the more you do now the better it will be later, it may not be perfect but better than having not done any.

To be honest I'm half asleep still, but been lurking, just had some lunch and need to pop to ASDA for a few bits. When I can extract OH from playing FIFA 11 on the Wii!

Cars..I've got an Astra SXI Sports Hatch. I love it but its only 3 doors and getting my niece and nephew in and belted up is a real pain in the posterior, the seats are really deep, so need to lean long way in. So I'm reluctantly looking around for a less than 1 year old 5 door car. Or a sensible boring car as OH said. Considering a Focus as a mate told me the boots are huge.

Oh and I've just sorted my car insurance, renewal in at £381, had a look on Confused.com then went onto insurance company's sister webite and was £100.00 cheaper!! So rang them, they said not a problem, how does £260.00 sound!! Very mse:money::D Just car breakdown to do, CBA to haggle, will just get Direct Line Breakdown which is with Green Flag, who I'm already with, they wanted £91.00 on renewal, sod that!! Direct Line was £54.00 for the same cover, so will just do online!

Teenie, I hope DD starts to improve soon, must still be a worry for you.

OH always fancies a roll...or anything else on offer. I'm just too blooming tired at the moment, think I'll save myself until Valentines Day when I best give in:p!
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:
  • I've not had any issues with the pelvic floor and weakness after 2 kids - I never bothered much with the pelvic floor exercises either - very naughty of me :o

Perhaps I'm just lucky or down to not giving birth naturally - not sure - will start remembering to do some now though - my luck has to run out sometime!

Im sure I seen on Embarrasing Bodies that you can buy a little weight to put up there and the aim of the game is to keep it up there while you hoover and that to strengthen the muscles... Obviously this woman had serious issues but there are things on the market and I for one will not be embarrased to try them after bubs is born
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

    Whats the colours? i'm intrigued...

    I like Elliott :D

I get synesthesia, and the type I have means that when I hear sounds, especially names, I perceive colours. Can make things interesting when we're choosing baby names.

    Congratulations BP :j

    Good Luck SarahAngel

I'm starting to get a bit scared now. I'm sooo near the top of the list. Please stop having babies, I don't want to do this yet :o

Got more pains in my tummy this afternoon. Think it's just sproglet having a shift aorund.

I'm sure there was more to say, but I can't remember what. D'oh

    Hi All

Thanks for the wishes/advice last night.....

I'm still with us, at work at the minute as need to get the month end accounts finished before bubs comes...

Went to bed at 9 and slept well, except for waking more often for the loo, period pain was bearable through the night..... Its getting bad again now though, really bad period pains and lower back ache, making me feel sick..... Can feel bubs really low down, so not sure whether this is the start of anything, but its been almost 24 hours now.... What do you all think???

Sarah - Good luck, let us know how you get on!!!

MI3 - Hope the sweep goes ok today, sending cervix vibes....

Charlie - Great news re the maternity money....

    I'll check in soon....

Hope you all have a good afternoon......
Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015
