PC - I'm not planning on wearing a bra for the birth. The first think I do when I get in is take mine off - they are soooo uncomfortable and I cannot imagine wearing one durong birth. Plus I'll hopefully be in the water in a nice big baggy t-shirt then :)

Well ladies, OH took me out for a lovely thai meal last night, I ate too much as per.

We braved the ASDA event today, there was nothing specific we needed so just stocked up on nappies, few clothes etc - came to £90 - i couldn't believe how easy it was spent, anyway we prob have enough nappies to last us the few weeks now.

Went out for lunch after too - I've scoffed this weekend.

Think all I still need to buy now is a changing bag and a cot matress. I have an idea of the ones I want just need to actually buy them, no rush yet though - eek.

We're getting 2 moses baskets, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, having my firemds old one for upstiars and am currently bidding on a M+P one for downstairs, currently at £20 for basket, 2 stands, 10 sheets, 1hour left so fingers crossed.

Hope you have all had lovely weekends..x

    Hello all ladies and bumps,

Hope you have had a nice weekends.

Fairy - the surprise baby shower sounds so fun, and sounds like you got lovely pressies too!

I have been in Devon this weekend to see some uni friends. The drive wasn't too bad , back didn't kill me too much. We had a wii night last night and was playing on the dance game , love it! Not sure is what I should be doing 6 months pregnant haha.

Just wondering, is anyone else just thinking of buying a big shoulder bag instead? I'm just thinking I might just buy a big one from Primark or something. I hope I don't come across as a cheapo :P It's just I'd rather not spend too much on a bag.
Is there any big advantage to having a proper changing bag? :S This has probably been asked, and perhaps I've just missed it.

Changing bag has a small portable changing mat, but you get one free with the huggies set anyway...and insulated bottle holders for if you are going to feed with bottles...but you can prob get those separately if you want one, so no not really.

Anyone got anything essential in their changing bag I don't know about???

My change bag bottle holders are to small for the TT Closer To Nature bottles, i had to buy the special TT bottle bags.

So make sure you check they fit before you buy :)

I'm the opposite, when I get out the bath I can't wait to get one on, I hate loose boobs!

Some good sites to join for freebies and vouchers are Boots parenting club, Asda baby club, sainsburys and Tesco baby club. Pampers and huggies website are great for vouchers.
Hipp, SMAand Aptimal for a wee toy.
    Emmas diary and bounty club.

Someone posted a list of links the other day. Maybe the can re post it. Was it RBG?

I didn't wear a bra in labour either time.. I had a couple of baths with DD1 and changed into my nightie and with DD2 I just ended up straight in my nightie when we got to the hospital...

I don't there's any reason you can't just use a big bag instead of a changing bag... It wouldn't have the compartments in, but if that doesn't bother you then go for it :)

Fairy, I'm very jealous of your shower and the cake is amazing!

Gah, heartburn, back ache... The small momnkey child just pooped in the bath while she was sharing it with her big sister... It's a joyous evening!

ETA, hugs Grateful, hope there's some peace for the family soon xx
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Thanks krystal.
