I have the opposite problem DD is potty training and so is hanging onto her poos for all she's worth

    Hi again:D

Slightly more awake but will go to bed soon methinks.

Shazza what a wonderful surprise for you! I think I would have been in tears, what a brilliant OH and fab friends you have :)

Charlie sorry you are feeling so rubbish, it's so hard to know what is pregnancy and what is other sickness at times. The insomnia obviously isn't helping. Hope you manage to get some rest and feel a bit better.

St Chris my Mum got a top that said I love my Grandma from Mackays (a couple of years ago mind) apart from that you would probably be better to check the internet.

PC I can't actually remember when I took it off but I was braless when DD was born, in fact I was completely nudey as I wanted complete skin to skin and planned on B/F'ing straight away. :o

Hngry was LOL'ing at space hopper, not a bad idea actually, could just imagine myself space hopping up and down the labour ward :rotfl:
EA you know you were saying you still feel lethargic despite sleeping loads, do you think this could be the problem, too much sleep? I was finding I was getting the same, but when I started going to my bed at my normal time, I started to feel a wee bit better. Maybe not for you but just a thought;)

Lauren anyone in particular or just everyone? I haven't actually had many people giving me any advise so far which is great. Probably as it's my second it's not a novelty anymore LOL

Grateful don't know what to say hun. :( xx

Not sure, as i still feel tired when i get normal amount of sleep.

Lily woke up at 10am this morning, so hopefully she wakes earlier tomorrow so we all wont use it as an excuse for a lay in :p

Oh, I had that with DD1... She used to hold it and get all distressed but by the time she got to the loo / potty couldn't get it going again, it would go on all day until she physically couldn't hold it anymore and it just fell out... It did get better eventually... She doesn't still do it now anyway... But she was a 'mare to train all round really...

Oh bless her!! My DH got the bath cleaning job too... They'd managed to churn it up and the smell was less than pleasant... I think the bath toys are going to go through the dishwasher though... lol

I'm on about bottle 5 of gaviscon... I can't believe how much worse it's been this time, I probably got through 3 bottles during the last 2 pregnancies combined!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

:eek:10am wow K has never slept that long. It's so hard to get up when they're still sleeping isn't it! I have definately felt more tired with this pregnancy so it could be that with you too hun and Lily is still young and needs a lot more of your attention than my wee one does from me.

I had a lovely suprise yesterday. It turns out that meeting our friend and her boyfriend was actually a decoy tactic by my DH.

We arrived at Revolutions bar and when we got there he told me that apparently the till had broken so our friends were upstairs. When we got up there waiting in the VIP room were about 25 of my female friends - he had spent the last 3 months organising me a secret

Sounds really lovely!! :D My friends organised me a baby shower this weekend (not a surprise though) - there was about 12 of us and we had food, played a few games and they gave me loads of lovely prezzies...winnie the pooh stuff for the nursery and some useful creams and lotions etc... ;)
Then today - we got the matching Moses basket as a present from someone in the family! Almost ready now!!

Last week in work now tomorrow! I can't wait!! Hope it doesn't drag too much. Seeing the midwife on Wednesday - will be interested to know whether the babies head has engaged yet!
I've got a good feeling that this baby might just come early and not keep us waiting for 2 weeks after due date (fingers crossed ey) :p

We're getting 2 moses baskets, one for upstairs and one for downstairs, having my firemds old one for upstiars and am currently bidding on a M+P one for downstairs, currently at £20 for basket, 2 stands, 10 sheets, 1hour left so fingers crossed.

Hope you have all had lovely weekends..x

Hiya - I just wanted to say, we did this - and we haven't used the second one at all yet, we've found that it's easier to put him to sleep downstairs while we're down here, then carry the basket upstairs with us and leave him sleeping while we get ready for bed, then we can just wake, change and feed him and all go down to sleep together. It might work for you so go for it if you want to, I just wanted to share my experience.

Also, to add to my list of things - make sure you have lots of prune juice for after the birth - I was prescribed iron tablets which have blocked me up, and even if they hadn't then my episiotomy stitches have made going to the toilet scary! (I can't remember if I put this in my original list but even if I did, it's worth repeating!) You can get 3 cartons of concentrated Tesco's own brand for £2.30 at the moment.

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.
