It's weird that I was refreshing the page and I can see your siggie about the alien and I have just been lying back in my chair watching my tummy move about as sprog shifts about!!! Aliens indeed!!! lol

lol that came about when I had a scan at 10 weeks and the bubs looked soooo alien like it was freaky so I started calling him the alien then....there was a whole row with one of my work colleagues about what I could and couldn't call my bump too as she didn't think alien was appropriate but as I explained it was my bump and I would call it what I like so alien (Al or Alf in work) stuck lol

Ha Ha, I love it.

Bump has loads of names depending on how much grief it's giving me!! Sprog is pretty much the name of choice at the moment though.
I keep getting told off for refering to bump as a he as we don't know what flavour it will be yet but every single one of our friends and relatives has decided I am having a boy so boy will they all be dissapointed if it's a girl!!!! lol:rotfl:

Personally, I really don't mind either way. I am just chuffed to bits to be having the little one.:T

lmao I know what you mean although my family are divided over girl and boy lol.....I started referring to 'him' and was immediately accosted and had to explain I just didn't like referring to 'it' as 'it' was my little miracle lol

Yeah, I know. "It" just makes me think of the munsters and that's not good!!!!

Kinda loving the feeling of the little one moving about, at least while I am supposed to be awake!! It's taken a bit of getting used to but it is an amazing thing. Hard to believe we will meet them soon!!! I personally can't wait, although, having read MV story tonight I am a little more apprehensive!!! lol

Yeah it's reassuring when they move around although can be a little tad tedious when you are tired and just want to sleep....I get weepy days when it feels as all he does is kick me in the ribs and make it very uncomfortable and that's when hubby tells him to stop picking on mummy and I then defend saying if he wasn't kicking me I would only be worrying there was something wrong....I'm being a bit of a woose and not reading any of the birth stories atm mainly because I am ok with going into labour and know there can be complications but at this time I would prefer to just let myself be ok with labour lol......and as for meeting him soon...I want to meet him now but know he isn't quite cooked (but technically that is only 3 weeks away lol)

It's amazing how fast it seems to have come around!!! Like you, I wanna meet him, but I'm willing to wait a bit longer!!!
I am pretty cool with the thought of the birth, and that it won't be easy. I'm 38, I have a pretty good idea about how things will work!!! I guess we just have to look at what we will get for our hard work!!!

OH isn't good at patience and whenever sprog starts to really move about and like you, bruising my insides, I get him to come and feel but sods law says that as soon as he puts his hand on me, the little one stays still. lol
Whenever we are in bed and sprog is doing some disco dancing OH will manage to calm the wee one down. Just hope he can continue to do that once he/she is out and about!!! I can live in hope.

Bet your OH is going to feel a little rough later!!! lol. Used to love a few drinkies but now, kinda liking the lack of hangovers etc and not missing the drinkie poos, not that I was a raving alcoholic you know!!! Sounds bad huh!!!

LMAO my hubby has the calming hand too which is great hehe and he's the one that reassures me when I am having a weepy day that he knows it's down tot he hormones and all that Being 36 I am pretty cool with the whole pregnancy thing too

My hubby needn't bother coming for sympathy later as he had to go by our house to get to the work colleagues house and claims the only reason he went was because he was bullied into it....he doesn't even know how he got home lol.....and the other thing is that I will either get a good few hours kip tonight as he suffers the 'night after insomnia' so I get the bed to myself; or I will have insomnia as well and he will end up doing my head in tomorrow night lol.....I wouldn't have been awake had it not been for one of my best friends finding out he's going to be a dad after his wife had a miscarriage back in July so he decided to text me the news at 3am :mad: wait til I see him and kick his butt lol.....am sooo pleased for them

Ha Ha,
I know what you mean. My DH gets what we call the "heabby jeabbys" the night after he's had too much to drink. He wakes up screaming in the middle of the night at which point I calm him down, he goes back to sleep and I'm left wide awake!!!
Great news for your pal, pity he felt the need to share the info when he did though!!!!

Yeah he was probably sitting at home having a drink, lol.....right I am sitting playing on that wee website I found the other day with really cheap clothes (http://www.bonprixsecure.com) and my bank balance is going to suffer if I do not step away from lappie now lol.....also I am yawning and my eyes are watering so time for a quick drink of water and bed for me....thanks for the company and hope your last couple of hours go in really quick....night night xxxx
