    Thanks Sammy :)

I'm struggling with b.feeding still. I never seem to be able to satisfy him, and have reverted to expressing and giving him the odd bottle of formula at night too which helps him sleep..not ideal I know, but I'm more concerned that he gets a good feed than trying to struggle with BF'ing if it's not working out.

My MW said it's fine to give him the odd bottle feed, especially if my nips are really sore (which they are). As long as I express the flow should keep coming, which is the main thing.

It is hard work..much harder than I ever expected, and the sleep deprivation is really tough. I am dreading OH going back to work in a week, as I'm scared I won't be able to cope.

I do love Josh, but I think I am definitely suffering with the baby blues too.

Its a huge shock to the system. I found that at the beginning I could only think about the here and now and couldnt plan more than an hour ahead. Once I had sussed this out everything got easier. Dont feel guilty about going for a snooze whilst guests are round your OH can take over whilst you catch up on some much needed sleep! An having just read your birth story I would say you need sleep to help heal! Well done you!

Now I am wide awake and doubt very much that I will get much sleep tonight. Gonna head to shops first thing before they get too busy tomorrow and get the kitchen stocked up, im hoping I will be able to lift the bags from the car. Bubs has been quiet all day but now that I am settling down for the night she is kicking me like mad. xxx

  • I had my last MW appointment at 25+2 and she didn't mention a GTT at all. She tested my urine, and said all was well. I do not have a high BMI either. She made me another appointment for 28 weeks.

Do I presume I won't have to have one? :o
  • DP - regarding classes, depends what you want to know. I found the first class really good as they went through the mechanics of what your body does to give birth. It made it actually seem possible! Today was pain relief, which was also helpful.

Can't remember who asked about birthing balls. I got a gym ball from Tesco for £3.33. Got it to try out as I thought if I didn't like it it's not too expensive. I love it :)

Well, the antenatal class was fun today. We went through pain relief. I knew it'd be interesting due to my needle phobia, but thought I'd listen to what was said about epidurals. As the discussion got going I started with the tears, which I knew would lead to hysterics. I had to leave the room till they'd finished :o Well, at least I know now that an epidural is definitely not for me!

Just fell out with DH :( He wants to spend some time doing housework over the weekend. Trouble is, he always wants to do the housework that I can do (because he wants to help me) rather than the things I can't, and he's supposed to be filling the holes in the wall in the bedroom so we can carry on decorating. I know he's trying to help, I just get frustrated when I find that there's nothing for me to do and he's not done the things that I can't do. I know he means well, so I'll go find him in a bit and make up (he's gone to bed).

I have a family history of diabetes and they never offered me a GTT (phew!)
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

Night Sharkey.....sending sleep vibes to you and GFH hehe

DP I wasn't even offered a GTT so I take it that I am fine even though I was overweight when I got PG
