MV - It sounds as if you are doing the best you can - just persevere and it will get better I'm sure. Have you spoken to the HV about the baby blues. Sorry, no experience, but I should think help is better sooner rather than later.

GFH - Sorry hon, I honestly don't know what to say. It sounds like you are a very supportive family unit so I pray you get through this as a family x

I'm not any kind of expert BTW - I was just reading up recently so I can back up my refusal of the GTT this time around.

What does GTT stand for? Does the test get offered to everyone or only particular groups?
  • Glucose tolerance test, they do it if you have a high BMI, are an older mum, have a family history of diabetes, have an a in your name...

    :rotfl: What she said.

Last time I was having the GTT (to prevent large baby) for family history and growth scans (to check for small baby) because of low "pre" pregnancy BMI. This time I'm not going to let them weigh me - I'll just tell them my real pre pregnancy weight. OH is already getting stressed out about me refusing lots of things as he hates not just going along with the "experts".

I told them to sugar off when they tried to weigh me.

I'm hoping "No" will be sufficient.

Although when I said, "No I do not want to make a booking appointment - I will make one when I am well enough." the receptionist still made me one.
