Off to hospital this pm for my pre op bloods and stuff - not sure what to expect - it is all getting a bit real - and am scared of the section! Sorry all doom and gloom again!

Morning all
Labour vibes to those that need them x
Trying to read back on posts but this thread moves so fast!
Had a nightmare of a morning so far!
Discovered a single nit in DD's long hair last night so had to bung the headlice stuff on overnight and then comb her hair through with the zapper this morning and wash and blow dry!
She has really long hair like mine so had to get up really early to get kids to school on time.
Will do my own and DS's tonight (though no sign of anything crawly in ours thankfully but would rather be safe than sorry!)
Also have the return of sciatica which I had in my other pregnancies and stops me sleeping very well - can't seem to lay on either side for long!
Nevermind - only today to get through at work and then the weekend :T0 -
Today i think i am 36+5, I have a 2nd growth scan today and another on Wednesday.
Measuring just over 32 weeks for fundal height, on my first growth scan at 30 weeks bubs was showing as being 3lb8oz so shall see later how much he has grown, if any.0 -
Morning everyone,
Just popped to asda, not a big one so only thing i got was some nappies size 2, think I have enough size 1 and they were reduced to £4 for 35 and i had £2 off voucher so bargain of £2.
I am driving to Devon today to stay with friends for the weekend, looking forward to it but hope i don't have to have to many wee stops!
Sharkey - very exciting about your OH coming home!
Lauren - hope the scan goes OK!0 -
Morning ladybumps
I have a question for galvanziersbaby - after having Sam last week I said never again to any more children because the birth was so traumatic for me, however now he's a week old I'm starting to think again whether I could actually go through it. Do you think if I was to speak to the community midwife before I TTC and explained I would like another baby but only if I could have a guaranteed section they would be happy to approve it? I don't know the rules about elective sections, does there have to be an underlying reason? My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

It's fantastic, such a gorgeous bag, really pleased with my bargain :T OH didn't get it at all, after all, it's just a bag to put nappies in *rolls eyes* I said it will be going everywhere with me for x amount of years - it's got to look good! :rotfl:
:rotfl: I used DS changing bag for a few years! Kids seem to come with a lot of stuff. If it's not nappies it's changes of clothes, snacks, bottles or cups etc. I've seen the pink lining ones on line. Am off to John Lewis next week so will have a look at them there. If they are as good as they look then I think I'll be getting one as wellI just weighed myself and over the course of the pregnancy so far I have gone from 68kg to 60kg :eek::eek: I'm still not eating too well so I might have to mention this to midwife when I see her in a week and a bit. I'm just worried that bubs won't be getting enough food
I'm 20+5 weeks & have gained 4 pounds. I was worried at my 20 week scan the baby would measure small or something because I've not put on much weight but he was spot on for datesI'm sure you will soon start gaining when you find it easier to eat more. There is anti nausea medication you can get prescribed if needed
Here is a pic of my bump today at 35 weeks (hope it works!)
Wonderful! I felt huge until I went for my 20 week scan & then realised just how small my bump is compared to the other women there who were also 20 weeks. Baby is measuring fine though0 -
Hiya Lilian
I know I'm not galvanziersbaby and I'm not speaking from experience myself but my SIL had 3 sections as her babies were all within 2 years of each other and she was told that if she wasn't offered the section she could have asked for it......HTH xxxxThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -

Hello Lilian
Hope you and the little guy are recovering nicely now - sorry to hear about the traumatic birth.:(
Without knowing what the problems were in your case but a friend of mine suffered great trauma after the birth of her son (he was very large - she tore badly - I won't go in to detail) but when she became pregnant again with her 2nd she requested an elective c section and this was granted - I think if you are determind and stick to your guns there is a good chance they will allow it.
I am not certain on the rules as such and I don''t think they are obliged to perform a section but they should certainly be sympathetic.
I won't patronise you by saying that it's very soon after the birth of Sam to be ruling out natural childbirth cos I myself have no experience of this but do talk to your Health visitor and others about it if you need to (I'm sure there is a thread somewhere on here)
In my own case my history goes a bit like this
1st DS - found to be lying breech at routine 39 week appt - was offered option to turn but consultant unhopeful due to babies size and available room left! - offered c section and accepted
2nd DD - concieved when DS was 9 months old (oops! - you are supposed to wait around 24 months between babies if you have had a section) - consultant advised another elective section due to the fear of rupture of the womb
3rd baby - will have another elective section at 38 weeks - I could have a trial of labour if I desired but having had 2 by CS I am quite happy to have another.
Sorry for such an essay  - I hope you are ok Lilian and recovering x0
