Morning Ladies
Congrats Twoflower
I'm feeling a bit anxious todaynot sure why?! - my 20 week scan isn't till Feb 16th which feels like ages to wait
I was anxious all through my other pregnancies too - think I'm worse this time cos of my age - just don't want anything to go wrong.
Anyhow will try and get a grip (and stop goggling! :eek:)0 -

EA, I think they put about difficult scan just because of the BMI listed on the notes because they wrote it on mine too and my midwife said my 12w photo was one of the clearest she's ever seen so I wouldn't dwell on it too much...Oh Krystal, that's not good, it's a pity your visitors didn't give you more of a hand, well, at least with drinkies and the like!!! Sofa days sound like a great plan!!
DP - cool that you sorted out the bag, I looked about for ages and had my eye on the pacapod range as it looked pretty functional and a bit cool but bro bought me a skip hop bag for my christmas so am happy to use that. It's very strippy so at least I won't lose it round the house!!! lol
And SIL has a pacapod bag, which in theory is good... But from what I could see, a lot of space is wasted in the bag and she struggled to fit the pods in once they're full so one ends up clipped and dangling from the side... Maybe as my nephew gets bigger and needs less it will be better?Krysal hope you are going to be able to get the rest hun, i was thinking the same as Coops, it's a shame your visitors didn't run around after you, or even better take wee one out for a couple of hours instead to give you a rest.
<snip>
Are any of the ladies who already have children done anything yet in preparation for this one? I just feel I'm too laid back this time and really apart from starting to stock up on nappies haven't actually done anything. I don't really need to buy anything big as we kept everything and I will need to go up to Mums loft and see what clothes are there ready to be washed but don't plan on doing that for at least another 9 or 10 weeks. Wont even look at packing bag probably until I'm on ML, 2.5 weeks before EDD. Am I pushing things do you think or is that plenty time?
Which leads me on to point two... I have everything from DD2 pretty much, my Mum replaced the moses basket I leant to my Step Sister and we bought a new car seat (only because we didn't own a car before so a second hand old one was 'adequate' now we'll be in a car more, I wanted to make sure all the children were well protected so they've all had new seats)
Apart from that, nothing much... I have the baby bag mostly packed but only because DH was messing in the cupboard where the baby clothes were stored the other week so I got him to fetch them out and was them... My bag is still in the back of that cupboard, things I'm thinking of packing in that bag are piling up on the side in the bedroom...
And I still haven't decided on a pushchair... (Although I did buy the car seat adaptors for DD2s Oyster so I can do the school run in the car lol)Rockinbikergal wrote: »
Hugs Krystal Hope you managed to get over.
Really glad you got some good sleep though! I managed to drop off some time after 1:30... Woke at 4 for a wee... Took ages to drop back off again... Up at 7:30 with the small monkey... Although she woke up a bit earlier, I just let her shout for a bit until I could peel my eyes open... I'm waiting for Approved foods to deliver and then I might have a sofa snooze...twoflower169 wrote: »Hello Ladies,
To start with I'm sorry I haven't been online for a while, it all just got a bit too much a few weeks ago, and I just didn't have time.
I'm also a little late in announcing the birth on the 8th Jan of my baby girl Darcy Grace weighing 7lbs 3.5oz at 21.46pm, I got my Vbac, she came 20mins after my waters breaking! She was back to back and so I'm still tender and needed stitches. But she is an angel, she is feeding well, sleeping could be a little better as she is a little greedy at night! Her big brother adores her, he likes to give her kisses and cuddles!
Anyway she has just filled her nappy so must go! Will be porting on parenting page too very soon, and will try harder to keep up!
