Just back from a curry - not sure if it was a good idea now :o

EA - Sorry it's late in the day but HAPPY BIRTHDAY :j:j:j

DM11 - Sorry about the test. But they say the best people pass second time :)

Shazza - Sorry you're feeling poorly. Hope it clears up soon.

MIL wants to start decorating baby's room tomorrow, so hoping she'll do the lion's share of the work and I'll make the tea :D Also going to visit M&P with a drawer front to see if it colour matches the cot I want - fingers crossed!

    Good night ladies x

Labour vibes your way Flower, PC and MI3 (and anyone else who wants them).

Oh my goodness don't send me vibes yet!

Hip grant: I understand the last date is the 21st of April so those who are due the 20th should get it, I'd give them a ring to query it.

Evening ladies and bumps (and Keith!!)

Another fun night on shift for me tonight!! Is it terrible that all I can think is that I just have 12 to do after tonight and then I won't have to work for ages!!! lol

Due - sorry you didn't pass but I'm sure you will next time. Good vibes to you.

    Lillian - he's just adorable!!!

EA - Happy birthday!! Wish I was 22 again!!!

OH does surprise me at times. He is pretty much what I would call a "real bloke" in that he ins't very good at showing his emotions or the like and is very practical round the house. I wouldn't have it any other way if I'm honest. But the past week or so he has come out with stuff which has me baffled. He talks about hind waters!!! (blokes from work giving him advice) and tonight he mentioned he'd sat in last night and watched OBEM while I was at work!!!! Wow.

I was quite keen to give birth in my local midwife led unit which is 7 miles from us and has a wonderful reputation but he has been on at me the past few months about going to a major hospital in case intervention is needed. (both his sisters had a tough time) I can see his point and was coming round to the idea of it until he mentioned tonight that perhaps I should go to the local unit as a guy he knows was talking to him about it and if that's what I want then I should do that. Who stole my husband and replaced him with this man????? lol :p
Now that time is marching on I think he's spending more time thinking about the birth etc than me!!! He's made sure my bags are packed (pretty much) and in the hall way ready to be thrown in the car and with me working 30 miles from home he suggested that I have my notes and a change of clothes (in case waters break) and other "stuff" in the boot of the car. Just in case.:rotfl:

    Men, you gotta luv them!!

Well, better go see how things are looking and perhaps get something to eat.
Boots 75% off sale is supposed to start today so will keep an eye on the website tonight, although all it pretty much always ever does is crash!!! lol
    Later peeps......:j

Thanks for the advice re: shingles. I had chicken pox when I was younger and friend said the rash is under her bra strap and only just started getting sore today so I definitely didn't come into contact with it. Ill perhaps give surgery a call in the morning but they are quite carp with getting the doc to ring you back or booking an appointment for anything sooner than"3 weeks on tuesday?"!

I think I have a bump starting (either that or too much food) when I put my t-shirt on earlier my stomach area is definitely more rounded - yay! Although don't want to get too big before I have broken the news to my boss (am dreading it and putting it off as long as poss!)

Am going to try and get some sleep now although I can't understand why when I am on the sofa I feel like im going to drop off so I come to bed and stare at the bl00dy ceiling for hours!

I've got my changing bag sorted! Splurged and got a Pink Lining one as it was half price :)
Better get ebaying a few things now to make me feel better about spending the money on 'myself' (well, it's for baby too isn't it, plus I will be taking this bag EVERYWHERE with me for however long after bubs is born) :rotfl:

Watching 'Knocked Up' on +1 now, and then off to bed to get some insomnia....

    Failed..............

:( really sorry to hear that. What did you fail on? (if you don't mind me asking) I read a book before my test that said the average woman took something like 4.7 attempts to pass so you're still way above average ;)

I'm in bed... Got me some of that insomnia... Haven't slept properly for 3 nights now, it's a killer when you have a small monkey child to entertain too!

My sister and SIL took pity on my houseboundness and came for a visit today which was very kind of them, but between trying to be an adequate hostess (making 2 glasses of pop, 1 bottle of formula and dd2s lunch) and trying to control the over excited monkey child... I can barely walk now, my back is agony! Definite couple of sofa days to recover I think!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Oh Krystal, that's not good, it's a pity your visitors didn't give you more of a hand, well, at least with drinkies and the like!!! Sofa days sound like a great plan!!

It's quiet on here tonight which I'm taking as a good sign. Hopefully all mummies to be are snuggled up dreaming of the lovely little ones whom they will meet later this year!!
I will be later this morning!!

Think I am going to "have" to go into the city on my way home and see what Mr Boots has in the was of baby stuff in the sale. I would think probably not much but in previous years I have usually stocked up so that xmas and perhaps even birthdays through the year are taken care of. Very MSE.
That and I usually get loads of nice things for myself but this year I am not that fussed about getting for myself. Funny that my priority has shifted!!! lol

DP - cool that you sorted out the bag, I looked about for ages and had my eye on the pacapod range as it looked pretty functional and a bit cool but bro bought me a skip hop bag for my christmas so am happy to use that. It's very strippy so at least I won't lose it round the house!!! lol

Apricot - my OH is always sleeping watching the tv and wide awake once he goes to bed!!!

Well, off to do a bit more work but my feet are killing me tonight, swollen a bit, nice. Shoes off under the desk and hoping no one will notice!!! lol

    .

:rotfl::rotfl:Oops sorry wrong Princess it should have been Bargain Princess :o Can I blame baby brain....please?:D

EA I am shocked that they are saying that about your scan, having seen your build you don't even look like you are overweight! Bl00dy medics :mad:

Sharkey I'm so sorry hun, should have said that bubs can engage a few weeks before hand :o

Ice hope you had a better nights sleep, and BARGAIN for getting all that and not having to pay a penny :T

Fanta glad your mw appt went well and yeah for getting a copy of bubs heartbeat!

Krysal hope you are going to be able to get the rest hun, i was thinking the same as Coops, it's a shame your visitors didn't run around after you, or even better take wee one out for a couple of hours instead to give you a rest. ;)

Day off today so need to get butts into gear and make an effort to go and meet our friends. We go to a group on a Wednesday but I haven't been for weeks as toots has been getting up so late and just wants to play and chill out so haven't been pushing it but our friend did ask yesterday and when i said we'll try and get there she said "yeah you keep saying that but you wont I bet" :o. Up about an hour earlier than usual so no excuse today!

Are any of the ladies who already have children done anything yet in preparation for this one? I just feel I'm too laid back this time and really apart from starting to stock up on nappies haven't actually done anything. I don't really need to buy anything big as we kept everything and I will need to go up to Mums loft and see what clothes are there ready to be washed but don't plan on doing that for at least another 9 or 10 weeks. Wont even look at packing bag probably until I'm on ML, 2.5 weeks before EDD. Am I pushing things do you think or is that plenty time?

Guess who got a nights sleep.......YAY!!!!!!!!! Had a couple of loo trips but on both occasions I managed to get downstairs to the bathroom without turning on the lights so managed to stay mainly asleep (If that sounds right lol)

Hugs Krystal Hope you managed to get over.

Am going to try and do some stuff around the house today....beat friend is coming over tonight to sort out arrangements for the baby shower and to make sure I have done my hospital bag...I swear she is more worried about the bag than I am lol.

Had the birthing pool in the antenatal classes last night and it definitely reaffirmed I would prefer the water birth if it is available at the time......

Anyways Labour vibes to those who want them (holding back on BPs :P) and a big hug to everyone
