Many congratulations Twoflower on what I am sure is a beautiful name to match a beautiful daughter - glad you got the birth you wanted too, you so, so deserved it. Thanks for the update, we'd love to see a photo and I hope to be joining you on the parents thread sometime very soon.

Well that makes me top dog on the bold list and I'm holding on tightly to that place. Hoping that the full moon tonight may have some influence on things. If not, I have my first sweep tomorrow morning.

RBG - what are they doing in your antenatal classes to make women cry?? Glad you had a good night's sleep, I had one too and its amazing what they can do. Unfortunately, I can't try your trick of keeping the lights off in the loo, as I don't want to wipe in the dark and possibly miss my show.

Oh no its nothing they are doing....it sank in to the wee girl last week that she is due in 6 weeks, same date as me, but she hadn't been thinking about how labour was going to affect her etc.....I took her phone number so that we can keep in touch the poor wee thing....

loving the fact I slept last night but answer me one thing....does it sound bad that I am going to tell hubby NOT to come home for lunch coz if he comes home for lunch I will end up sitting on my butt for an hour and will get nothing done this afternoon????

Congratulations Twoflower. Darcy is a cool name. We would definently like to see pics please :D

Teenie, Im a bit more organised than I thought purely as I had a lot already, been buying nappies on the baby events etc and was given a huge bag of clothes on Freegle.
But I still have a lot of wee things to get that I have really gave much though. like bibs, muslins, top and tail bowl, new baby nail clippers and hair brush (my last 2 were born looking like Paul Weller!). Um sheets for the beds, hooded towels.
nothing too expensive but I know Ill use them. Im in no hurry to get them or pack my bag. Im hoping to have a homebirth but ill pack a bag just incase, and it will be there for the birth so OH can get me stuff from it.
Theres probably a lot more I need but my like is so busy and our routine that the baby doesnt factor at the moment :o

I had a horrible dream last night. i was out shopping and then realised id left the baby at home alone, then in the same dream all my teeth were wobbly then fell out

I was going out to take the kids to school this morning and fell down the last stone step outside. I was holding Eva's school bag and a tray of crumbs for the birds. I managed to get my hands down but still landed flat on my tummy. thanksfully my hands took the brunt of it. i have skint knees and hands now.
i know you get more clumsy during pregnancy but im ridiculus. I fell up the same steps just the other day.
heres me walking behind the kids telling them to hold on and take their time.

I've had the wobbly teeth dream before - I did look in to it but can't remember what it meant now! - it wasn't anything awful though :)

Yay Cpoir, a due date buddy :D

You're doing better than me though still working... I haven't left the house much since Christmas lol...

Lol @ not wanting to miss your show MI3... I never put the light on at night, it hurts my eyes too much... I don't even put it on first thing in the morning... I have to put it on behind me as I leave the bathroom to aclimatise my eyes so I can go back for a wash a few minutes later lol...

I never had a show with DD1... And not a proper one with DD2 either...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

That made me lol. When i was in labour with dd2, i was convinced that the pressure WAS me needing a poo. I kept yelling that i need a poo. Then the midwife said "its coming, don't worry, we'll catch it". I said, "what? my poo?".
They were referring to the baby of course, but i was still convinced i was just giving birth to a huge poo. lol

:rotfl::D:rotfl: Thank goodness I was alone in the office when I read that! Thanks for making me giggle.:D

Congratulations Twoflower... Darcy is a fantastic name! If we have a girl we are having Grace as a middle name too so loving that. Hope you are enjoying lots of mummy cuddles :)

Cpoir ... Welcome! I am due a few days after you and also still working, I plan to stay at work as long as poss to get more time off with baby, but have to say I am getting more uncomfortable at my desk as the days go on. Starting to need more sleep as well, and am off work today... so will have to see how things go! Enjoy your last week at work, do you have a leaving do or anything planned?

Hello to everyone else, welcome to any newbies since I last posted (only been about a week but lots of pages to catch up on!) and hope everyone is feeling good :)

  • I heard that wobbly/crumbly teeth was to do with feeling a bit nervous or unprepared for an event - like exams, driving test etc. I guess that birth and a new baby could come under that too :D
