sounds like BH's Giz. If there is a pattern to them and a shower/bath doesn't help call it in though. In my experience shower stops BH's but not the real deal. Dodgy tummy feelings normal too. Says me who is getting them now and enough to make me shut up while talking to OH on the phone 2 nippy ones 7 minutes apart...

:D Thanks RBG I don't mind being called sweetie - I am quite sweet! Anyway it beats OH's term of endearment towards me - Chunk!

Have I mentioned that I hate work? Well I do...wonder if I can think of a way to get signed off on full pay until my maternity leave starts? Wishful thinking!

On a brighter note am going to Frankie and Benny's for tea with some friends tonight so am very much looking forward to stuffing my face - I am eating for two after all :p

Just in need of a quick rant!!!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I bought some Pampers from Boots online and used the free changing bag code, which went in fine. I made my shopping up with other things to make it over £45 and free delivery (although I am overseas I use a BFPO address and benefit from the same as UK deliveries), checked my basket and the code was there for the changing bag... went through and paid for everything... then when the confirmation came through there is no changing bag on there!!! I contacted Boots and they said I could go into a Boots store with my coupon and copy of my order and pick the changing bag up... to which I replied saying I am overseas with the forces so not able to do that. They said that then my only option would be to send the order back and re-order, or make a new order for some Pampers. Last night I put another order through Boots and got some size 1 Pampers for the early days with baby, and again bought some more things we need, put the code in, all ok... paid for... then no changing bag on confirmation!!! I have contacted Boots again but waiting for their response.... SO annoying!!! I have asked that they send me the bag anyway, so will see what they say! TBH I feel a bit conned into spending money with Boots when I could have ordered the same nappies on Amazon for cheaper. Grrrr! We dont even need any more nappies now as plan on using mostly reusable ones.

Anyway... rant over!!! Just wanted to share my frustration, I guess nobody else has experienced this as I dont think any of you are overseas. But thanks for reading :) I know its not the end of the world and worse things could happen... but grrrr!

  • Hi All

Thanks for the messages, feeling a bit better about it today, had a weepy night last night but am ok now. Im booked in again for 12th Feb when I'll be exactly 37 weeks BUT I have until 8th Feb to cancel and still get my money back so I'll make the decision nearer the time. If I go ahead then I'll just have to cross my legs and hope the baby doesnt want to make an early appearance lol.

DD's old childminder's waters broke last night/this morning, she is due 5th Feb bless I hope she is doing ok! She wanted a homebirth so hoping that a) she is still having one due to being early but over 37 wks and b) she has all the stuff she needed for it lol. Am waiting for the text to say baby has arrived!

Congratulations twoflower on the birth of Darcy, have to say I love that name, if we hadnt decided on a name already Id be pinching it lol. Hope youre well xxx

  • Hello. Well back from my 36 week appointment and MW has told me that I am 4.5/5 engaged and that the baby is in a good position now for labour. She also told me that it would be unlikely if the baby moved again and that I was pretty much set :) Now I am petrified.lol. I am really gonna have to get my butt in gear and get into a nesting mood. Just hasnt appeared yet, but my house is a real mess and its starting to depress me.

Cant remember if I had said to any of you ladies but I had a pregnancy massage at the spa at work last week and it was just fantastic - if any of you ever get the oppertunity to go for one please do, becoz I have never felt so relaxed and I had a fab nights sleep. Because I am still working a couple of days a week as a favour to them, they are bending over backwords to be nice to me and they have booked me into the spa the day that DH is home to get all "beautified" as they said, which I am really looking forward too.

Going to call my friend now - she had a baby in July and has text to say she has 2 bin bags full of baby girl clothes if I want them.lol. As if my daughter needs anymore as DH keeps saying but hey ho a girl can never have enough clothes.lol

Have a good day and sorry for long post. xxx

Is this your first Krystal?? Have you been to any antenatal classes yet? I've got my 3rd one tomorrow night! Hubbie is learning quite a bit ;)

EDIT - ooo you have just answered my question when you edited your post...
So I did lol... 2 daughters, 5 years apart and the youngest will be 22m when this one arrives... I did antenatal classes with the first 2 (the 2nd because it had been so long I'd forgotten the first time around!) but it's pretty fresh in my mind this time so I haven't bothered lol...

Do you think this could be it Lilac? With DD2 I thought things were starting up, nippy contractions quite regularly... Then I fell asleep and they all stopped lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Many congratulations Twoflower! I love the names!

Pregnant ladies should not have to change sheets and duvets! I'm exhausted, wouldn't mind but can't get good night sleep anyway, clean sheets or not! Now collapsed on said clean bed.

EA I can't believe you had that put on your notes re BMI! I had same on 12 week scan but i'm a much bigger lady than you. Will see what they put this time next week, getting really impatient for scan now.

Sorry off topic but I just got my gas and electric bills...I've been paying direct debit £30 and £35 a month and they are going to increase my gas to £35 and electric to £46. That's nearly £200 more for a year! Have prices really gone up that much? I need to check last years units and see how many I used then. Suppose I have all the time in the world to have a good look into this and maybe switch.
