apricot - You just reminded me of what I need to do! I should call my doctor as this cough has been here for a month now, so i'm beginning to think that doc's initial advice of cough syrup, water and rest isn't really working.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Just back, Doppler scan good and everything looks good. MW put me on the trace because I'd gotten myself in an anxiety induced flap.
Quick question - does anyone know what GTG means in the engagement box in your notes? Can't think what it might mean.
Lilian - what a gorgeous little man. Big congratulations x
Good luck to who is doing their driving test today, I'm really sorry but I just can't retain any information at all now!
Going for a short nap as drained - again. Catch you in a bit and I'll have a good read back xVirtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
I really do think someone has swapped my body with an 80 year old. Its freezing outside today and just walking from the car park to the office made me need a wee and my knees are sore. Need to see my friend tonight but could do with cuddling up with OH and a hot choccie. but i musnt turn into a hermit so I will go see her, shes really exicted about the baby and hasnt seen me since I first told her. With regards to moses basket and carrycots etc my mum is buying my carrycot for the quinny buzz and the man in the shop said I could use it like a moses basket (short naps during the day , then cot and night ) does anyone know where I can get a stand for it ?Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Afternoon ladies
Happy Birthday EA aw your just a young pup LOl
Good luck DM fingers crossed for you
Beautiful wee boy Lilian, you must be so proud and as far as b/f'ing is concerned, like I have said before, you HAVE to do what is right for you. You've given it a go and that's all that matters.
I personally found there was a lot of pressure from the HV regarding b/feeding and she was ALWAYS asking about it and I had no problems and wasn't even considering giving up! I remember she once was going on about using expressed milk in a bottle in public and how it was outrageous that women felt they had to do it. Well I did it love and it was not because I felt I had to it was because I feel uncomfortable about my body as it is and wasn't convinced that I wasn't going to b/f as discreetly as I wanted. Don't see the problem myself baby was still getting my milk. I did eventually b/f in public but it was a few months down the line when I did feel comfortable.
Nic glad the midwife picked up on something, it is so hard admitting to your feelings at times.
SA glad doppler was fine, not sure what GTG means? LOL maybe your Good To Go
Re nappies, I have bought one pack of newborns, might get another but the rest will be the next size up. DD wasn't in the newborns for very long and am half expecting this one to be another biggie!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Just a quickie to say, happy birthday EA, good luck for your test DM11, lovely piccies Lilian. MV and Lilian, hope all the hard work is bringing lots of rewards too.
Got to dash, meeting friend from ante-natal class. Nothing to report at my end - not a single sign of anything gearing up. BargainPrincess how about you?We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Happy Birthday EA!

SA - Could it be CTG? According to the UK pregnancy website CTG means baby's heartbeat racing.
Lablover - I remember reading in a book once that when you go out and it's cold, you're likely to feel the need to wee - not just in pregnancy. It's to do with your body's reaction to the cold. I assume that in pregnancy that reaction just becomes amplified due to the constant need to wee anyway!
Have just spent some time applying for some volunteering opportunities. I figure that whilst I'm not in employment, I might as well do something for the community. I've always enjoyed volunteering in free time anyway.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Although emma's diary said CTG is a method of measuring and monitoring baby's heart rate (cardiotocograph) - which seems more probable. Is there a figure with it? Maybe they just wrote it in the wrong box?A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Darn work for being so busy, it's so hard to keep up lol
Lovely pics Lillian.
I'm in a much better mood today. Finally got to Debenhams. I got a long black jersey skirt that fits perfectly from Red Herring Maternity, and since they still have Blue Cross Sale items I treated myself to a little black dress for £7.20 - bargain. Now I just have to make OH to take me out somewhere! :j0 -
I typed pregnancy abbreviations into google and came up with what pixie pops said.In one of those moods where I cant be bothered to do anything.:(Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
