Wow, congratulations MV, he is a beautiful little guy
I can't wait for my own now
Hugs hun. The house we currently live in I feel cut off from everyone. My mum lives 2 hours away, no friends locally. OH's parents are 10 minutes away, but I don't like to bother them. We want to move, and I'll be about 7 month's pregnant then. Still, at least I'll be able to do the nursery then.
Dusty - fab bathroom!
Fanta - happy viability!
To those of you suffering with insomnia, back pain etc, I am also suffering. Takes me ages to fall asleep, then I wake up about every hour for a wee. Then takes ages to get back to sleep again, and so the cycle continues. I was knackered yesterday as did loads of stuff around house and garden, and yesterday was tired after a long walk, and still had carpy night's sleep. My back aches as well, particularly on my right side, and I get a horrible pain on the right hand side of my ribs.
My sickness isn't as bad, but as some others have said, it does reappear occasionally. I had it really bad at first and was on sickness tablets 3x a day. I don't usually have to give in and take one now, so it's got better. Although had heartburn last night as well.
Hugs to Nic. I know how you feel hun, and it is truly awful. I am trying to keep busy around the house, and have found a couple of groups I can try and go to. Maybe you could do the same if you drive? I'm going to go to a new mum's group who welcome pregnant women on Friday. I get very down, and have been known to spend all day crying. Have been OK last couple of weeks, but scared of a relapse.
Got my Asda order today - super quick or what. They haven't even debited my bank account yet :rotfl:Gonna take stock of all the baby bits I have now, so I know what I still need to buy. Running out of room though, so no more big bits for a while. Oh and M&S rang and said my bargain cot will be delivered 3rd February :T
I ordered one of these too - did anyone ever get a response from M&S re whether or not the cot is height adjustable?0 -

He weighed in at an impressive 7lbs and 15oz.
I'll post some pictures when I have managed to re-piece my brain together, I only got out of hospital today, and we're just trying to get ourselves sorted at home.
He is a truely beautiful baby and worth every hour of effort I put in
I'll read back when I get a bit of time, hope lilian is well and having baby cuddles, and also am thinking of Mit3 and the other ladies due round now.
Thanks for all the vibes and good wishes

Hurrah!!!:T:jCongratulations and enjoy him. Looking forward to the story.
Just saw the pic, how gorgeous is he?!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
MV he is lovely - he looks so alert for such a young baby!
Only 191-ish days until I get one!
Thanks everyone
A lot of the midwives had commented on how alert, and strong he seems to be!
Keep forgetting he's only 3 days old!
I'm struggling with breastfeeding too. I don't enjoy it, find it really hard and my boobs are like 2 painful rocks..it's so uncomfortable, and Josh struggles to latch on as my boobs are like over inflated footballs
I've tried expressing too, but not much comes out and he's still hungry and screams. We've added in a few formula feeds too, but I think that it makes him windy.
I'm hoping these are all normal worries, and it seems lilian is having problems too.
To ladies who have babies already, do your boobs soften up a bit when the milk properly comes in, and how long does that take? Think I'm still producing collustrom (sp?)..quite yellowy looking liquid?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

They will go soft once you have a regular routine, sounds daft but your boobs are as confused as you and your baby now, they aren't sure how much to make or when it's needed. Assuming you want to continue BF the best thing to do is to do it as much as possible. If your struggling ring your HF she will pop out today or find a drop in centre that's open today, don't get fobbed off if your stressed it won't help things.AKA: PC

ok ladies I have a dilemma
I am working out who I want invited to my baby shower which my friend is throwing for me and can't decide whether or not to invite the ones from work....should I get her to send a general invite to everyone there which would mean noone would be put out??? The issues I had been having in work had been resolved before I finished on ML thankfully but I just do't know whether to invite them or not :SThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Thank you princess.
I have the MW coming over tomorrow so I shall speak to her then. OH has to literally help me latch him on, and often Josh just screams and gets himself into a fury and I'm left feeling upset and useless
Been using the Medela breast pump to express, and hardly getting anything, particularly from the right breast which is so swollen.
I do want him to get the best nutrition, but I don't want me to be dreading feeding him everytine which I am at the moment.
OH is going out to get a few things..I'm nervous being on my own with the baby
