I grow decent sized ones too Tickle... I opted out of the growth scans this time though, I know it won't be small but that won't change the way the pregnancy progresses... Unless it goes bum down obviously...

Funnily enough though, DD2 was 9lb8 born... But only weighed 17lb at 1 year!

Lol Lab, sounds like mine!! He cuddles up to me to say goodnight and I just say "I'm not gonna hump you" before he starts...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Unfortunately yes. DD managed to gain 3.5lb in 3 and a half weeks. I grow greedy babies. I am aware that some people have very little babies and am always jealous as DD looked 3 months old at 3 weeks. As she started to out grow 0-3 mnth clothing at that stage. :(

Goodness!, I'm not sure if I'd swap with you even though mine will be lucky to get to 5lb in 40 weeks. My friend had an 11lb er and he couldn't open his eyes hardly because his face was so chubby bless!:rotfl:

Thanks for the employment support laides - honestly this thread is like therapy :o

I've always worked closely with my current boss but since the rest of my teams departure he has become my official line mananger and tbh I've found him quite stern but still likeable. I think what upset me more than anything is that he was 'unhappy with my wording' in the email (I did see the email RBG before it went and I amended it too :o).

that to me has made it personal when I really didn't want it to be. He likes to do everything informally which is great sometimes but other times I need to follow guidance.

Luckily working for the NHS means disagreement policies are in place and are there for a reason. My boss made it sound like the organisation were raising a formal grievance against me but now that I'd had the official reply to the union email I see that they are asking that I go down this route to address it formally so not as scary as first thought. TBH I think the main issue are with the off the cuff comments I get from my line manager and the fact he still expects me to take on this extra responsibilty (albeit he did ask for me to have the pay rise in the first place).

also, because of my job I work in the same office as the board of directors and the chief exec, these are the people that I'm grieving against iyswim. It's awful to be stood in the kitchen making a coppa with them knowing that this situation is happening

Congratulations MV, he's gorgeous and no doubt worth the wait. Can't wait to hold my little one in my arms now (or big one no doubt).
Hubby has gone to France with work today, so i'm left with the 3 children (praying they'll be good). Woke up thinking of all the crap i'm going to clear from the house before he gets back on friday, was really looking forward to getting on with it, then went shopping and now really can't be arsed to make a start.
Whilst in TK Maxx i saw in the clearance section a ,oses basket mattress, i'm sure someone on here was looking to get one, anyway it was reduced to £2. So may be worth checking there?
Also got a green frog hooded towel, wash mitt set down to £3 and a velour slumber sack for summer for £7.
Right need some motivation....can't just sit here, need to do something......

I mainly agreed to the growth scan to find out position earlier than 36 weeks so I have a chance to change it lol. I knew it was going to be a big one, just knew it. Got DD weighed last week and she is 29lb! But then she is also 2ft8 so just looks older than she is.

Hi ladies - just a quickie to let you know that I gave birth to our son, Joshua Frederick Thomas on January 14th, at 3.45pm, after an epic 28 hour labour.

He weighed in at an impressive 7lbs and 15oz.

I'll post some pictures when I have managed to re-piece my brain together, I only got out of hospital today, and we're just trying to get ourselves sorted at home.

He is a truely beautiful baby and worth every hour of effort I put in :o

I'll read back when I get a bit of time, hope lilian is well and having baby cuddles, and also am thinking of Mit3 and the other ladies due round now.

Thanks for all the vibes and good wishes :)

Wow, congratulations MV, he is a beautiful little guy :D I can't wait for my own now

Apparently I'm selfish as it would be better for all of us....better for him more like! I'd be totally cut off (don't drive) and only have his family for company, and pound to a penny every weekend he'd be out with his cousins. Yeh sounds great.:(

I just know we'll be bickering again when he gets home because I'm so fed up and angry and he thinks he's doing nothing wrong, I can't let things go over my head, I won't stay schtum. Just could bloody do without it right now.

Hugs hun. The house we currently live in I feel cut off from everyone. My mum lives 2 hours away, no friends locally. OH's parents are 10 minutes away, but I don't like to bother them. We want to move, and I'll be about 7 month's pregnant then. Still, at least I'll be able to do the nursery then.

    Dusty - fab bathroom!

    Fanta - happy viability!

To those of you suffering with insomnia, back pain etc, I am also suffering. Takes me ages to fall asleep, then I wake up about every hour for a wee. Then takes ages to get back to sleep again, and so the cycle continues. I was knackered yesterday as did loads of stuff around house and garden, and yesterday was tired after a long walk, and still had carpy night's sleep. My back aches as well, particularly on my right side, and I get a horrible pain on the right hand side of my ribs.

My sickness isn't as bad, but as some others have said, it does reappear occasionally. I had it really bad at first and was on sickness tablets 3x a day. I don't usually have to give in and take one now, so it's got better. Although had heartburn last night as well.

Hugs to Nic. I know how you feel hun, and it is truly awful. I am trying to keep busy around the house, and have found a couple of groups I can try and go to. Maybe you could do the same if you drive? I'm going to go to a new mum's group who welcome pregnant women on Friday. I get very down, and have been known to spend all day crying. Have been OK last couple of weeks, but scared of a relapse.

Got my Asda order today - super quick or what. They haven't even debited my bank account yet :rotfl:Gonna take stock of all the baby bits I have now, so I know what I still need to buy. Running out of room though, so no more big bits for a while. Oh and M&S rang and said my bargain cot will be delivered 2nd February :T
