May I join Insomniacs United please? If I'd known there was a little gathering on here at 3.30 am I would have joined you. Usually I manage to exhaust myself by about 8.00 am and have an hour or two snooze, but today I'm just in too much pain to sleep.

It's just like it was pre-Xmas, back pain, period-type cramps, lots of BH's.
If only I had some sign that it was all the lead up to something happening.

Please please please give your feedback if you can spare a few minutes when baby is born if you get to use it. I've got my heart set on a water birth but there's only one pool at our hospital.

Hello I had a water birth with ds1 and will be having another with ds2 what did you want to know - Im not saying im an expert but I now have experience lol.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

  • Morning, oops actually it's afternoon!

I get the really dry mouth at nights too, I wake up in the morning with such a sore tongue. Been trying to remember to leave a drink on my bedside table for during the night.

Sleep for me has been up and down. Easier since the physio as I'm not in so much pain at night, but I take ages to fall asleep anbd no matter how tired I am I usually see 12am. But once I'm asleep I'm not too bad, usually up once for the loo and sometimes take a while to drop back off but usually sleep until 10.30ish. Still feel tired all the time and sometimes zombie like though.

My mobility is not what I'd like either. Being in bed with that virus helped my pelvis for a while, but as soon as I start walking about again it gets sore. I'd love to be able to go for walks too.

As far as the flu jab is concerned I think there has been too much fuss made in the media about it being this new vaccine, when in reality it's no different to getting the seasonal flu one. As Perdi said, it's the same method of delivery, it's just the strain that changes every year.

I dragged DH into Matalan on Monday, got some lovely baby clothes reduced in the sale, including one set that was reduced from £10 to £2! I also got a maternity nightie, which has to be about the comfiest thing ever! It was marked at £8 which was full price, but went through the till at £4. :D Also got a couple of reduced maternity tops, was really pleased.

Ooh and on the movemnt front, I'm pretty sure I felt her kick on the outside last night. Waas in bed and had my hand on my bump, I could feel her moving and then, thump! So hard I felt it outside too! :T Very pleased. Still not feeling lots and lots of movement, but enough I think.

Hope things get going for you soon MV, I remember your BFP too (long time lurker lol).
 Mummy to an amazing little girl

Am I the only one who sleeps for about 10 hours? I know I am only 12 weeks gone, but I go to bed at about 12.30 got up at 11 today! I used to thrive on not much sleep but now I am STILL so tired when I go to bed, once I am back at university in a few weeks I'll probably be going to bed at 10/11 I only go to bed so late because I am sleeping in the parents living room and Mum goes to bed at about 11.45.

No doubt as I progress I'll be kept awake by an active baby. Although I was told, if you can train yourself to go to bed at the same time every night say 10pm, the baby inside should do as well?

Had my flu jab today, my shoulder aches :(

Oh you reminded me Garnett, I bought some trousers from Mattedland the other day... Marked at £12 but they went through half price too! They're not maternity, just stretchy black ones from the plus sized section and they fit fantastically!! So much better than maternity because they don't fall down all the bloomin time... I bought the next size up but could have probably gotten away with my normal size... Still, at least I'll have some trousers I don't have to shoehorn myself into after the baby arrives lol...

Abby, I think in the early days you need loads more sleep... As you get a bit further along something goes haywire and even though you feel like you could nod off at any time of day, you randomly wake up at any time through the night... I was up till 4:30am Saturday watching all the things I've been recording on the V+
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

lotty I cried this morning - a text from OH saying "stop waking me up in the night!" that's literally all it said but it really upset me for some reason - I've turned into a big wimp!
