    Hiya Legs

You know what, I haven't made any provision for my poor mattress! I thought about it at the w/e but haven't done anything about it.

I'll maybe start sleeping on a few towels as I don't want to wreck my bed :rotfl:

How are you doing? Hoe's that gorgeous bubs of yours??

I've pm-ed you. We used this orange plastic sheet that is supposed to go over the car on our bed (it was clean)and it worked a treat.

Molly is great btw, so cute, smiling and laughing but not a fan of lying horizontal in a quiet cot, Grrrh!...AND she's a wriggler so those sleeping bags are ace. Ikea do a lovely fleece one for a tenner. Very MSE. Haven't dropped her once either so I'd say that was progress:D

I'll Bufger off now.;) Sorry for hijacking the thread, ladies.
    Take care, LL xx
  • MV - i agree with Ladylegs about the mattress protection. Get those bed mats, even the pampers ones would do ;) I heard 'pop' and mine went 4am in the morn too...no idea beforehand, no contractions or anything so very lucky i had one to hand and one under the bedsheet too.

Don't worry too much about going over. I went over by a week with no signs and i got really fed up and put it in my head i was going to be doomed to a section (i'm the size of a 12yr old so big baby and me, well i thought that meant there is no way he'd get out) but i had him naturally....and that birth was a VBAC too. You have two weeks before they need to interviene, might seem like it won't happen but i'm pretty sure things will kick off naturally for you within that time. x

Thanks ellie..I just feel right now that I'll never have an actual baby, and am doomed to be the size of a bungalow forever...daft isn't it! :o

What is a papmpers bed mat btw? (forgive my ignorance :o)

    Afternoon ladies

Oh dear feeling in a really peed off mood today:mad: hey ho!

Will try and remember everything so here goes:

Lillian all the very bet hun, hope you are getting somewhere by now :j
Alamya there is no point saying don't worry as you will. I'm sure you'll be ok and you'll get some reassurance soon x

Nic phoned up for appt for flu jab yesterday, first free appt was next Monday, will let you know how it goes. x

MV huge labour vibes to you :)

2girls have been thinking about you noticed you were MIA, not long now until meet bubs, v exciting!

Dusty good news on not needing cervix thingy (sorry can't remember :o) and yeah for extra growth scan!

Sammy hope you had a fab weekend not too long for you and grateful now - where is the bloomin time going!!

Erm think there was more but have forgotten as per usual.....oh yeah welcome to the newbies :D

I missed OBEM and don't have any sort of recorder, never mind by the sounds of things I would probably have felt a wee bit uncomfortable watching it.

I knew there was something else! Thanks ladylegs for coming back to "see" us, I was going to ask those who are close to giving birth to pop back from time to time to let us all know how things are (if you get a chance LOL!!!)

@ladylegs - don't apologise! I love hearing from people who have had their babies :)

@dusty - yay for extra scan :) and good news re your cervix.

@MV - I think the pampers mats are for kids that wet the bed, so probably found with the nappies. I'm putting a shower curtain and towels under the mattress protector, but worried it's going to make me sweat a lot, if it does I'll just stick with towels.

Someone kick me up the a*se. I'm having my first wasteful day of maternity leave and I hate the feeling of wasting my day. I just can't bring myself to do anything. I don't have many jobs left to do and all the housework is done. Most of my jobs are 'fun' things and I think I feel guilty doing them. Silly isn't it :o

Lol i felt like that...and i think i told all the ladies here and everyone i saw in real life on a daily basis that i was doomed to be pregnant forever.

Pampers (i think, may be huggies though) bed mat is a disposable fleecy mat you put for to help train little ones to stop bedwetting...if that makes sense, lol. Boots do maternity ones though...i think they come in a pack of 6. x

  • Giz - I am in the same boat as you. In fact im still in my pjs.lol. Need to go to supermarket to get some food, or else me and baby will starve lol, but just dont have the energy. its the after effects im not liking the sound of.

I posted this on the grabbit board a wee while ago. The organised mum sale is on. They do fab diaries that have sections for shopping lists and budgeting, xmas lists and stickers for different occasions.

I couldnt be without mine now as Dd does a few things and all my appointments plus trying to meal plan and budget more.

heres the linky, I got the family life one

I thought she might have got me in sooner when i said I was pregnant tbh :o I must admit I am still not sure about getting it done, I haven't been vaccinated against anything before, but my sensible part says to be safe than sorry.

That family planner one sounds fab, will have a better look at it later.

On another note, got an e mail back regarding the nursing bras with poppers, they have now been discontinued :( I'm gutted as I really preferred them. I'm sure I chucked my old ones out (I was sick to the back teeth of them after 8 months LOL) silly me!

Giz don't beat yourself up over having a lazy day. I sometimes feel I should be doing stuff, but resting and chilling are also important, and lets face it..once baby arrives you won't have a moment to yourself so ENJOY!!!

Hi Lotty - I bought it. It was the first pram that I had seen and I knew instantly that I wanted it. Was lucky as well as the car seat came free with it after Xmas.:j It took 2 days to be delivered and is very easy to assemble and I just love it, cant wait until i can get bubba in it and take it for a spin.lol.

hiya ,yeah i got the carseat free and free delivery, its the only one i liked too...really good deal.
