Sharkey/lotty - I'm thinking of getting the Silvercross jet pram frpm Mothercare too too - is it fairly light and easy to push? - I had a Maclaren Twin Techo before but I had 2 under 2 at the time (must have been mad)

Can anyone recommend a pram for a short small person? :o - was also looking at Bugaboo Bee

not sure yet , i havent got it, i only ordered it today :)

I found it really easy to push - allbeit didnt have a baby inside it lol, but i thought it felt quite lightweight. The car seat isnt that heavy either, although I wont really be using it that much. HTH

I am going to pop in to Mothercare and have a try with it - I think I need a grand try out - has been some years since I pushed any pram :D
  • Hi Ladies and Bumps,

How did I get fifth from top or third if you don't include the bold ladies!!! And yes I stupidly watched OBEM and am now even more worried - I kept wanting to turn it off but just couldn't and I think DH is scared now as well though he tried to deny it!! That woman screeching so much can't be normal can it? And I agree any poor Mummies-to-Be (or Daddies-to-Be) having to listen to her must have been freaked out!!

Labour Vibes to all those who (still!!) want them...

I must admit though I was in tears when the little baby looked up at the other young Mum on OBEM.

I did feel sorry for the young lad though and think he should have been in there rather than her Mum.

Having said that if my DH dares to recite Roman History to me when I am in the middle of labour, I will probably crush his crown jewels!!

Thanks for the linky nic, I have one of the family planners on the way too now :). Not sure it'll make me' more organised but I can try! They look fab :)

Galvanisers, I am not short but I was quite fussy about having a light pushchair, I liked the bugaboo bee at first too. When I looked into it seemed to be mainly suited to cities so changed my mind, have ordered the m&p sola which might be worth a look. A few others have gone for the m&p zoom which is similar.

A lot of my friends who have kids tell me they had a stroller instead within a year which are definitely light, so wasn't wanting to spend too much (hence not the bugaboo!!)

So midwife has told me to drink an ice cold sugary drink tonight and relax for 30min.
If that doesnt wake her she will nip round in the morning to listen to heartbeat.

I knew about the drink thing just not the sugar lol. Embarassingly drinking ice cold caffeine free coke to find today it says sugar free LOL.

She did confirm not really to worry and would expect proper movements until 26ish weeks.

What can i say i worry my miracle will end every day. Silly woman.

OJ always worked for me and I don't think you are silly in the slightest x

Someone kick me up the a*se. I'm having my first wasteful day of maternity leave and I hate the feeling of wasting my day. I just can't bring myself to do anything. I don't have many jobs left to do and all the housework is done. Most of my jobs are 'fun' things and I think I feel guilty doing them. Silly isn't it :o

    I've just gotten up! :o

Don't know what the boy is doing inside me today but I the stabbing pains in my noo-noo got really bad and it felt like he had his feet on my ribs trying to push his way out! I've also had loads of CM (sorry if TMI) so I had a bath to try and calm things down. The boy then proceeded to go bonkers like he didn't know what to do with himself or how to lie. All the time I've been pregnant I've never known anything like it, anyway, after the bath I went for a lie down and I didn't wake up til 3.30. Bubs has calmed down or wore himself out now but I still have the stabbing sensation every now and then.
I'm at the hospital tomorrow for a growth scan so I will mention it to them tomorrow.
    Weird!

Thanks for that - will def look at the m&p ones - I am in a town and don't really use public transport but I do need something lightish and I can't manage the 3 wheeler types cos I tried last time and couldn't manoevre them properly :o
I used the Maclaren twin techo stroller from birth with DD but didn't have much choice I needed twin seats as DS was only 18 months when she was born.
I like the idea of having more of a pram than a stroller for this baby but need to have a push with them to see which suits best I think ;)

Hiya guys, i've just got up from a little nap and feel really odd. Like someone is pushing down on hy head, a bit woozy not sick but a bit fuzzy. Hope this is not a symptom which lasts a long time and is just the fact that i'm thirsty/hungry/both. :(
