Hi everyone

Apologies - I've jumped the queue massively...waters broke at 1am this morning and was told to come in, was monitored and checked over and everything's fine but I;m not dilated yet so was sent home to wait for my contractions to get closer together, which they now have done, so I'm going to set off again soon. Eek - wish me luck! And sorry MV - hope things get going for you today xx

ETA - I'm being induced at 10pm if nothing happens before then!

Well I'm officially overdue, and have been on the phone to the hospital this morning as have an appointment next Monday at 41 weeks if baby doesn't show up.

Looks like if I need an induction of any sort I wont be able to use the lovely birthing centre which is a bit upsetting

Still maybe baby will show up between now and then, although I have no signs at all that he is coming

I've recorded OBEM to watch without OH, he really doesn't want to see!! I'm intrigued about the screaming, I think I have to watch now. I hope I don't do that or cry, think that would make it much harder for OH to cope Annie, I watched the Christmas ones on watch again, can't remember what channel though but sure you'll be able to get it on t'internet!

First antenatal class tonight I'm quite excited but also a bit nervous!! Hope the people there are nice, I'm hoping that I can make friends. Found out my best friend (I have many best friends but she is one of the closest) is pg over Christmas and am so delighted, she's not due 'till August but at least we can be on maternity for some time together So only need friends between April and August :rotfl::rotfl:

Our house rennovation is moving along again now as well, think we actually have a chance of being finished by March :beer::beer: (less beer more bubbly ) Since we have gone from bare brick to painted walls in all rooms but the living room it does all seem to be a lot closer - still quite a bit to do but I think we can manage it!! Going to get one of those big wall calendars today and fill it out with a project plan

I am also worried about weight gain. I am at the top end of the link (sorry can't remember who posted it but v helpful), I know I've been scoffing far too much before and over Christmas so just trying to get into better eating habbits again now. I used to do loads of exercise, but have stopped some due to pregnancy (Roller Derby not safe for bubs unfortunately) and a lot of the rest has tailed off due to concentrating on the house so now I'm trying to at least get out for a good walk during my lunch breaks and just do anything that I can fit in.

Sorry that was rather self indulgent feel free to ignore me!!

MV, i'm still sending loads of vabour vibes to you, its horrible being overdue.

Just watched OBEM, oh said he has sky plus'd it, but he hadn't so watched in ON4demand. Really wanted to slap the screamer, but just giggled at the faces the midwives were pulling instead. The last guy had me holding back the tears, and his gf was amazing bless her.

Right off to watch the rest of silent witness that i fell asleep in last night....and i spoke to soon yesterday about the sleep thing easing for me, was up at 4am this morning

Morning guys, fab news for lilian! I have never watched this programme you are all talking about and by the sounds of it i don't want to! I hope i can put all of my energy into breathing my baby out rather than putting loads of energy into screaming.

I am off work today and am thining of starting a bit of a de clutter in the box room which i want to turn into the nursery. My OH is unsure, he wants to turn our other spare room into the nursery, as he says he thinks the box room is cold. It has a radiator in there that works, there's no reason the room should be cold, i think it's cooler than the rest of the house because it never gets used. Also i thought it was better for babies to be in cooler environments to sleep in? So i think i ight win the argument. The thing is that if we turn the other spare room into the nursery we will lose our only guest room, and i'm trying to tell him that that is not good, but not sure he's listening!
