  • Hi Ellie  I remember you from before :)

Fanta - yep I know, I look quite enormous without clothes! :rotfl:

still no rumblings, just a rolly-about baby. Gawd knows when it's going to kick off.

That screaming woman did my nut! It drove OH out of the room too, but now he's re-reading my birth plan (bless him) as I want him to be firm with them if I decide I want an epidural.

Need to stop the impulse to eat random things from the kitchen too. Just ate half a carton of chopped tomatoes. :D

My understanding from what I've read is that inside the mattress and the covering can degrade over time and leech chemicals and or due to being stored in lofts/garages can have microscopic mold and bacteria spores which again can leech out (and may cause cot death)
In a very old one stored in a garage/shed maybe... But they changed all their guidelines and all of a sudden it was OK for re-using mattresses between siblings... I'm a touch skeptical...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

no I leave on 18 march. I will get the standard 6 weeks at 90%, then SMP after that:(

I've been working for the same company for 4 years straight and thats all they offer... meanies!

Fanta - I went up from 20st to 25st7lbs when pg last time, then lost a load of weight and now watching the scale go back up is horrible. However I keep rationalising that DD was 10lb3oz and there is about 2l of liquid surrounding baby so as long as I only gain a maximum of 2 stone (I'm already big) I will be very happy with myself. So far I have gained 16lbs and am 33 weeks 2 days. Only 6 weeks 5 days remaining (in theory). So heading back to WW once sprog arrives I want to be able to shop somewhere other than evans lol.
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

  • The baby is fine, i'm so relieved she said i'm11 weeks & 2 days so my actual due date is 30/07.

I had to have an internal scan which worried me slightly as I thought something was wrong but thankfully not.

She couldn't do the Nuchal scan though as the baby wouldn't stop moving around, it looked like it was raving in there. :rotfl:

I hope everyone else is well. :A
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Got my cervix scan in the morning followed by 28wk MW appt. Anyone had a cervix scan already? Painful? Will I get to see bubs again??

Of course I've had one twinny and it is the d1ldo scanner thing. I do like PC's definition of it like !!!! sex lol!! First thing they did was do a proper scan, altho not sure it was necessary hopefully they'll do same for you.

Ooh no, not yet. But I do recall it saying you get it toward the end of the pregnancy so maybe I should get mine soon :)

I'm also waiting for my Bumgenius Nappy. I'm sure it said they sent them out at 34 weeks. Anyone have the voucher still that can let me know what it says? I'm not even sure if they've paid the cheque in.

Are the comforter and nappy things you have to send away for? What do you send off? I've only just started filling things in, has finally dawned on me that we're having a baby

Voom, sorry to hear about your work, that doesn't seem right, hope you can find out they're in the wrong!

Alamaya (I think it was you!) finishing work on 31 march!! I think that might be near my last day too! Wish I could finish earlier, and will if I have too, but want to have more time with bubs so saving most of my hols for the end of ML.

Whew, that was a lot for me' specially as on my phone!! Hugs to everyone, welcome newbies and no offense to any of you that I forgot!!

I'm reusing my cot mattress as it is sprung and was expensive, DH will not allow me to buy another, it has been in the loft for about 8 months  I made him get it down 4 months ago so it will have been down and in the bedroom for 7 months by the time the wriggler arrives, I've also had the cover off and have washed it. It is something though that plays on my mind a bit though as we could afford a new one, I have though bought a monitor though that has a pad that goes under the baby to detect if breathing stops which was really cheap in the sale. I'm hoping it will offset my mattress worries:o
