Where do you get a pregnancy exemption certificate? Do you get it with the MatB1 form at 25 weeks or do you have to ask for it?

I was given a green form (FW8 form) and I just filled it out, my midwife signed it and then I sent it off to the address it said. I was given it at my booking appointment. You can just ask your midwife for the form and the exemption card thingy lasts until 12 months after your EDD.

dont get me started on movements.
Im coming up to 22 weeks and still not convinced lol.
Was certain i was getting them at 20 weeks but now i barely feel them :(
On the plus side had my annual leave and maternity sorted today so finish on 31st March. (Using my whole years annual leave and then starting mat on 16th May)
    Yey

God I feel like a workaholic now. I put my form in today to finish 2nd May (although we close for a week over a 2 week period for Easter). Friend insisted she was bored out of her tree waiting for her bubs especially when she ended up being 2 weeks late! I think if I take some annual leave my last day will be 15th April but I'd like to be off til March next year.

On saving, I did manage £2k but owe £750 for a sofa I bought from Tesco Direct which is due to be paid April on 6 mnth interest free. I keep overspending too and need to get car serviced and insurance is due March....that plus the usual credit card bill payments from MSE Tarting! We will live to our means when bubs arrives! Work package is good too but I'll need to be mindful when still on full pay not to blow it all.

Today was first day back at work. OMG needed my 6pm powersnooze. Has been hard work sitting at a desk as it felt like a long car journey so had to keep getting up. Does anyone get sore under b00by titage thing going on? Bubs moved lots too although s/he doesn't like the hand blowers in the loos!

Had/have a headache since I got home from work so gave drumming a miss in favour of OBEM!...and Celeb come dine with me at the mo. I lurve the sarcastic presenter! Must get some paracetamol as the natural fight it off isn't working.

Happy due date MV. You're last bump pic....you ARE huge! Can never really tell with clothes on - oo-er!

1 more week to viable baby as I'm 23 weeks today. On a kind of bitter sweet, my work does allow you maternity from this point on whatever the outcome. Can't imagine what Lily Allen felt giving birth at 6 months tho to nothing. People say you miss the movement and being PG once you give birth.

B00bs....I was a 34D and "upgraded" to a sports bra 36D to ditch the underwires. Will buy proper bras nearer D-Day. With having (aka HAD) a small waist, jugs have always looked huge in proportion to that and hip-city!

Right, it's 2 hours since last food so time to stock up again. Being a former Slimming World member, I am only just getting my head around trying to be pleased every week when the scale goes up when I weigh and convincing myself it's just bubs growing and being healthy. Have spent years watching weight and loving it going down to now convince myself otherwise. Anyone else feel like that or is it me being shallow/negative to body etc etc?

    Hi Zebusi and welcome

I'm 26 weeks this week and have only really felt bubs moving this last week or so. Some people describe it as popping sensations, mine are more like being stroked from the inside.

thanks ice - reassures me that it is baby!

I'm also waiting for my Bumgenius Nappy. I'm sure it said they sent them out at 34 weeks. Anyone have the voucher still that can let me know what it says? I'm not even sure if they've paid the cheque in.
Nevermind I found the website terms and conditions. It's after the 36th week. But I'm 36+5 now and they haven't cashed the cheque :( Not looking good.

    @MV - I haven't said happy due date! Happy Due Date! :j

I lost 3 stone on SW before beoming Preg so I find it weird watching the scales going up knowing that it's OK instead of not OK!

  • Perdi, what's the mattress like that comes with the moses? We've just been bought a second hand one and the mattress is completely plastic covered... I don't see how that can be dangerous to re-use at all?! So I'm not replacing it... Although, I don't know if the baby will sleep in it at night yet, it's mainly for the living room... We have an Ikea cot for in the bedroom... With a second hand ikea mattress that DD2 slept on with no problems ;)

My understanding from what I've read is that inside the mattress and the covering can degrade over time and leech chemicals and or due to being stored in lofts/garages can have microscopic mold and bacteria spores which again can leech out (and may cause cot death)

*sigh* had a meeting with HR today and because I haven't been at the company for two full years I won't qualify for their maternity package. I'm so annoyed - I've been there almost 3 years - I started on a maternity contract to start with (!) then got took on perm, but they don't take include the contract in the time I have been there.

So its 6 weeks full pay for me, then SMP. We are really going to struggle:(

I am ex HR (been along time mind) but I'm 90% sure that your temp sevice should be added to your perm when calculating length of service ring ACAS to be sure.

dusty - do you mean an internal ultrasound? (d1ldo cam). If so, it's a bit like having a smear.
