LOL! Agreed! Thanks for posting the link chickywiggle!
Just getting together a "New Dad" gift hamper type thing for my hubby to give to him at end of Jan when we are having a weekend just the two of us, potentially our last EVER... any cool gift ideas of things I can put in there? So far I have:
- Blokes Guide to Babies book
- Baby survival kit from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140461898092
- Norwich City t-shirt from soccerprint.co.uk with "DAD" and the number 1 on the back
- Me and My Dad book
- Babygrow that has printed on it "Me and My Dad Rock to the Foo Fighters"
Plan on buying a cigar to put in there but just want a few extra ideas. He has been an absolute star throughout this pregnancy and we are both so excited... I want to spoil him a little bit before baby comes and he gets a bit forgotten.
Thanks in advance:j Baby #1 due 25/02/11 :j0 -

Good idea, although he hasnt had a drink for a long while now (not a big drinker!), I may get a small bottle of bubbly or something to celebrate. Thank you:j Baby #1 due 25/02/11 :j0 -
Annibee, as well as checking freecyle looks for a local Freegle group too. I'm a mod on the one from where I used to live. A lot of group owners were unhappy with freecycle policies so changed to freegle,it's the same thing.
I've got loads off it including printers, double buggy, Moses basket x2, a cot, loads of clothes, lawnmower etc. I've also given loads away. It stops it from going to a landfill. Ideal for items that are not worth selling but someone else can use.
My sister got a fab fridgefreezer last year. The woman was just changing from White goods to silver,it was like new.
I'm shattered after all my cleaning and ironing, I feel more satisfied to tonight.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

These tables make me wonder what my baby is made of, I haven't put on nearly enough weight, yet still seem to be on size for dates. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Evening Lady bumps
Lillian and Giz I managed 3 hours again last night, i think this is my average atm and I coped in work today so maybe I am acclimatising lol. Am aiming for a little more tonight and hubby is out until 11 so about to head for a shower to settle me then head up to bed and be asleep before he comes in (here's hoping anyways lol)
Dusty glad my idea was a good one for you...I am so glad it was how I worked it as I don't think I would have been able to stay in work until now but because I was getting the midweek rest I didn't end up getting so tired and catching all the bugs going.....either that or it was just not being in work lol......am glad I only have 4.5 days left though and the girls in the office are taking me for lunch on wednesday which is nice
On breast pumps, I picked up a manual last week in Smyths when I was getting my rocker, I think it was tommee tippee and down to 13.99 so I snapped it up lol
GTT test...I haven't even been offered even though I have a slightly raised BMI and I am over 35, am 32 weeks tomorrow so I think its probably a bit late to even ask about it lol
Have told hubby he needs to get the overnight bag down from the loft so that I can get it packed for the hospital.....my bf arrived tonight with all the stuff for it and its now sitting in the living room with all the other baby stuff but I want it packed so I know it is done and dusted, especially if I am getting BH lol
Anyways am off for that shower I mentioned, lol....labour vibes to those in need and BIG HUGS to everyone

I got my travel system, moses basket, some baby clothes, bouncy chair, steriliser and breast pump all from freecycle. Its all pretty decent quality stuff too - I guess because these things are used for so short a time. For those of you just beginning to get your baby gear together do give it a try.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Charlie - I have been booked in both times for an anaesthetic review to discuss epidural and for them to assess me (check I'm not too fat to be able to feel my spine). Oh and I was lectured on why they dont want ppl to have GA and prefer Spinal block.
Right after this random post I am off to bed. Very tired today

http://www.calculator.net/pregnancy-weight-gain-calculator.htmlAlthough I seem to have maintained that weight. Got 4 - 6 more weeks to go.
RBG - 3 hours doesn't sound great
Had another productive day, got plans to fill tomorrow too. So mat leave is going well so far. No boredom yet. Haven't even started reading any books, playing guitar, scrapbooking or finishing that cross stitch for the nursery. So still lots to do.
OH got lucky again tonightTrying to make the most of feeling this way
I imagine when baby is here it might be hard to find some quality time.
Oh and regarding breast pumps, I also got a manual one because I'm only intending on expressing if I go out which will be very rarely I think. July 8th hopefully if I can get day tickets to the Sonisphere festivalBaby Giz born 6/2/110
