/me sighs as I see 1.30 am again on another evening in the RBG household....I was asleep until hubby got home and climbed into bed.....he actually managed to climb over me onto his side of the bed and turn off the telly and set the alarm and then apparently cuddled into me, leaned too heavy and hey presto here I am again......not sure how I am going to get back over, oh how I wish we hadn't taken our spare bed apart, at least I could climb into it and get some rest even but I am now down the stiars on my sofa having a hot choccie to see if that helps......any suggestions if any of you other lady bumps are awake out there lol........The pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110

Aww RGB I really feel for you. This is the time you need all your sleep as well.
What is it that keeps you awake once your woken. Is it your shoulder or can you just not drop off again?
I usually sleep ok but sometimes I get up for the loo at 2 or 3am then can't get back to sleep.I have the Marie Mongon hypnobirthing cd on my iPod, it's really relaxing and without fail I'm sleeping within 10 mins of listening to it. It also helped me cope with the pain in my back when it was really bad with DS.
Could you swap places in bed with OH so he doesn't have to climb over you to get in to bed?
Hope you manage to get more sleep soon.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I've got a day's annual leave today (using up 2010 holiday) and I'm off to go to a cloth nappy coffee morning. I'm hoping to find some second hand nappies and possibly some wraps, and get the opportunity to look at some different types. Its so hard to make choices when normally you have to buy things on-line.chickywiggle wrote: »just thought i'd share this site i found incase anyone is depressed about their weight gain like me.

That's really helpful thank youQuite pleased to find out I'm neither at the top or the bottom of my healthy weight gain at this point.
I'm in recovery from an ED and I find people's constant comments about how much weight I've put on (I'm 5ft 7, and weigh just under 160lbs at 30w 3d) can be really upsetting. These people don't know about my history, so they are just a regular level of idiotism, rather than being especially unpleasant, but I guess that underlines why it's not a good idea to do round making comments about peoples weight, even if you think you are doing it in an affectionate way.0 -
WooHoo!!! Mr Shark got paid today and I bought my cotbed and heading out later to buy the paint for the nursery, so hopefully will get it all painted this weekend. Also found out that the gift vouchers I got for Xmas from my dad can be used in IKEA so that has sorted out the rest of the furniture that I will be buying for the nursery. So glad that I am getting myself sorted as this nursery has been giving me a complete headache!!
RBG - I am with you on not sleeping - it takes me ages to get to sleep at night and then I wake up a couple of hours later and just lay there wide awake, but I am managing to get a nap in the afternoon which either makes me feel worse or better.
Hope everyone is ok today.[/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -
Morning ladies and bumps. Feeling like carp but nothing I can put my finger on. I have a pain under my right rib and I have a bit of a dodgy stomach. DD has just gone to school so I'm going back to bed for a couple of hours and if I still feel rubbish I might phone MW for advice as I'm just not feeling right in myself.
Hope you all have a good Friday xVirtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
LOL! Agreed! Thanks for posting the link chickywiggle!
Just getting together a "New Dad" gift hamper type thing for my hubby to give to him at end of Jan when we are having a weekend just the two of us, potentially our last EVER... any cool gift ideas of things I can put in there? So far I have:
- Blokes Guide to Babies book
- Baby survival kit from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140461898092
- Norwich City t-shirt from soccerprint.co.uk with "DAD" and the number 1 on the back
- Me and My Dad book
- Babygrow that has printed on it "Me and My Dad Rock to the Foo Fighters"
Plan on buying a cigar to put in there but just want a few extra ideas. He has been an absolute star throughout this pregnancy and we are both so excited... I want to spoil him a little bit before baby comes and he gets a bit forgotten.
Thanks in advance
How about one of these CDs? I got my OH the Metallica one as a birthday present from the bump - it's really good!

Also, Next had chocolate cigars in over Christmas but may not any more as I think they were Secret Santa things, worth a look though (I've picked some up for OH as he doesn't smoke).sarahangel wrote: »Morning ladies and bumps. I have this pain under my right rib as well - it's baby's foot getting in the way! I also have a dodgy stomach but I think that's normal at this stage because our intestines are getting squashed so much.
Just watching BBC News, I hadn't realised what the Eastenders storyline was about as I don't watch it - it's so sad and shockingMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

I've had this pain too. It's been my only PG symptom so far (see next post) and isn't there all the time but it starts under my right b o o b and goes right around my back. No position I get in shifts it but thankfully it doesn't last too long.0 -
Well ladies, for the second morning running now I have woken up with really sore fingers and toes. Really achy and stiff. Once I've flexed them a bit they seem to go ok but they were worse this morning than yesterday.
Sounds like carpal tunnell to me? anyone else? Nic wasn't it you that was also suffering?
I hope it doesn't start to get worse.
Oh and 28 weeks today :j0 -

Sounds like it - I started getting this about a week ago. The pain is worse in the night than the daytime xMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Thanks Lillian. It doesn't waken me at night (yet!) but when I wake in the morning it is really quite bad. Anything I can do to try and keep it at bay?0
