thats exactly how I see itI, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Babies automatically turn their head to their side to be sick.
If they lay face down they might suffocate apparently. Lily slept on her side for a few weeks, then her back and now sleeps on her front with her face pressed into the mattress lol.0 -
Hi Ladies
How are we all? Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year!
Its been a little while since I last posted, before Christmas I think actually.
Not much to report here, did end up in hospital for monitoring last night though, doh!
Basically same as RBG had constant and very painful BH’s all day (never had them with dd so didn’t really know what was going on). Text my midwife friend (she’s been very handy of late lol) who said that she starts her shift on labour ward in the evening and to pop down if Im worried. Decided to leave it because didn’t think anything much was happening and perhaps I was being a wuss lol.
Come 9pm, Im doubled over and have painful lower back ache, text friend again who said to go down. So off we trot down to labour ward and Im put on the monitor, it does show up ‘contractions’ so had an internal, mmm nice lol. Had the test that shows whether youre likely to go into labour in the next 2 weeks, Im not. And cervix is closed, I do however have yet another bout of thrush.
So its likely that Im just a big wimp and they were just BH’s, all that for BH’s and a bit of thrush! Honestly, you would think Id know better being my second! However midwife did say that head is quite far down, whoop.
Got midwife appt tomorrow for my 31 week check, doesn’t seem much point now after last nights debacle, ah well, gets me out of work I guess.
In other news, it was DD’s first day with her new childminder today, Ive been so worried about it over Christmas, thinking that she wouldn’t settle and that Im a horrible mother for ripping her away from her beloved childminder and no-one will ever compare etc. Oh how wrong I was! I stayed with her for the first half hour, gave her a kiss and she just looked at me and went ‘bye mummy, see you later’
Picked her up this afternoon, walked in to find her playing nicely, there had been no tears and she had been good as gold all day, had an hours nap and eaten all her dinner. I felt a bit unloved....
Erm, any other news..........nope don’t think so!!
Hope everyone is well! I’ll post more now all the festivities are over!

DD decided that was her favourite position from when she learnt to roll over. I have worked out that babies are completely unique and what works for one wont necessarily work for another and you just have to keep trying things out till you find out the best solution. Must be fab having a midwife friend! Are you planning on having her do the delivery?:)
Good news on the new childminder. :T:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
Ha ha, I did do a few trumps yesterday to make sure it wasn't that lol!!
Yeah she is going to deliver me all being well although not sure how weird that will be having my friend see my foof but hen again if I remember rightly I didn't care much in the throws of labour last time! Ooh just noticed we are only a day apart, how lovely! XSealed Pot Challenge Member 151

:rotfl:I played pop when OH peeked "down there" when I was giving birth. I even covered my face with the sheet so not to show my undignified "pushing face"
Aye another bump buddy or near as dammit! Can't believe how quick it's going for us all. I look at peoples sigs and it's like "oooh they're due next month" etc.... Can't wait!:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
Bored bored bored bored.....exhausted......bored bored bored bored, lol
Can you guess I'm here on my own at 3.30 am and who has been being a little monkey lol....just had a hot choccy to see if that will settle him again but I doubt it as it's also my shoulder causing the problem tonight(had about 3 hours sleep after I went to bed earlier then hubby came to bed lol) I'm sitting here with my tens machine going on the shoulder hoping that will settle the pain in it down a bit but it's not working so far....have an appt with the Dr int morning so will see if there is anything I can get for it cozs it's not fair on hubby me keeping him awake as well. Neither of us has slept for 4 nights now so I have left him in bed. At least I can sit and surf the net looking for baby bargains though hehe will let you know if I have any luck and will post some links hehe
BTW Hitchins and DM (welcome back hehe) if it hadn't been 3.30 am I would have been :rotfl: at your stories but I am trying really hard not to keep hubby awake so had to stifle them heheThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Is second trimester where the hormonal bit kicks in? lol
Last night hubby was cold in bed. Jokingly said "i want to feel baby" in a bit to warm his hands up on my tummy lol.
I said "well it be a first time you have ever touched my stomach so i hardly believe that story"
I was joking but his face just looked crushed then he turned over and went to sleep.
In all fairness there was some truth to my answer, he hasnt touched the bump, stroked the bump etc and i want him to.
Oh dear.
This all came after the matching nursery bedding set i wanted was no longer available lol so wasnt best pleased anyway.
Now i feel guilty and annoyed at the same time
Oh and on a side note since i have stopped caffeine completely baby doesnt seem to be jiggling as much. Got a couple of thuds last night but when i was drinking diet pepsi last week i had kicks every 2 secs lol. Feel like drinking some to wake her up.Baby Girl Born May 2011Baby Boy Born Nov 2012

Alamaya, I have been unbelievably hormonal and emotional since second trimester started. I didn't think it affected me before, but im struggling with everything. Loads of tears and my heart feels heavy. I'm not normally a crier. I haven't snapped at OH but have got annoyed with silly things and not said it. It's the kids who get it, I feel I'm always shouting at them
Im sure if you just tell hubby you were tired and would love him to touch your bump whenever be wants. I don't think they realise how much you want them too and to share those lovely kicks. My OH never does it automatically, I have to tell him the baby's going mental, have a feel.':santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
