  • Congrats Spaghetti! Such a great feeling isn't it, don't know about you but I had to find a willing passenger for my first day after passing! Found it slightly terrifying! Glad to have my independence now though. Thank you for the advice too, just had it with water today but will definitely try it with some OJ tomorrow.

Well internet died the night before last so have just caught up, and I cannot remember what I was going to say other than hugs to all who need them, and dont forget your pelvic floor.

On a side note, does anyone have cats? I don't have any worries that they would hurt LO, but a bit concerned that the smell of milk might attract them? We were looking at a cotbed cat cover from clippasafe but reviews don't seem brilliant, does anyone have any experience of this?

We have a cat, and I even bought one of those silly cot and moses basket covers. Totally pointless and annoying in my eyes. Our cat was petrified of DD, possibly due to the loudness of her crying.

I am having low blood pressure this pregnancy and find that if I dont keep grazing throughout the day when I am doing loads I feel a bit faint. But also you have to remember that baby is reorganising your internal organs so this can also cause some dizzy spells. If you are at all concerned call your MW to get checked out though. Better safe than sorry.

I really want to bake something, maybe a vanilla sponge. I think I have reached the point of endless hunger lol. Although I get full really quickly I seem to be permenantly eating :D

Yay Spaghetti!! :D I think a nice examiner and a fairly hefty bump kind of swayed things in my favour too lol... Do you have a car already? My Mum's husband is a mechanic and is supposed to be finding us a car, I'm so bloody impatient though, I wanted it a month ago!!

Sharkey, glad you're coming out of the other side of it... I had the flu just before christmas and felt awfull... Both girls had it too... I ended up on antibiotics and recovered a lot quicker than they did... Wish I could have had a flu jab though!

With the passing out thing... My sister had really low blood pressure and they told her that there was nothing really they could do and she should increase her salt intake... I find I am ready to pass out if I stand still for longer than it takes to make 2 sandwiches... And I can't walk into a shop without feeling squiffy.... My blood pressure has always been fine too... I think it's just a pregnancy thing...

For help with heartburn that's not milk or gaviscon... Definitely love hearts!! Although don't eat to many before bed... There's a lot of sugar in them lol...

I'm feeling rotten today, still in bed!! We spent new years at my Nan's with all the family... Then last night DD2 had been sick when I went to check on them, I ended up bathing her because she'd just carried on sleeping in it and it was in her hair... She carried on being sick after that, but just water thankfully... Then at 4:45 DD1 threw up... Unfortunately hers was no contained to a cot, so had a lot of carpet cleaning to do! Thankfully she has been fine since... My stomach was rolling all night but I wondered if it was just because of cleaning it all up, but now I think I have the same thing... Especially since my Uncle rang to see how we were because my cousin and Aunt have the same thing, and my sister just told me that my neice was sick this morning too... I just feel too sick to get up... Am existing on love hearts and water today... And the baby hasn't stopped wriggling... Which really does NOT help the stomach churning!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hi All

Congratulations Spaghetti, thats fab news...

Glad you're feeling better Sharkey & Teenie.... ;)

I was told that OJ is the best thing to take the iron tablets with, although I do forget sometimes and take them with my cuppa...... :embarasse

We have a cat and to date we have kept her out of baby's room (althought its not ready yet!) We had a different cat when DS was born and when we brought DS home hubby put the car seat on the floor and let her go to him to have a sniff about..... She stook her tail in the air and went out and she never bothered with him..... Occasionally if he was asleep on the sofa she used to jump up and sleep near his feet.... As for this cat, shes barmy so can't see her taking any interest either..... More interested in trying to get to Cals hamster :p

The dreaded perineal....... God, pregnancy is so romantic..... I didn't do it with DS, ended up having a epiostomy as I needed forcep delivery (he came out back to back) and the pain wasn't the cut or the stitches, it was 3 days later that it hurt like f*** ...... Did mention it to mw at my 28 week check and she did say as its all nicely stretched down there now, I shouldn't worry about it happening again - but I do :eek:

Oh - can choose two free Nail inc colours due to them cocking an order up before Christmas, which do you recommend????
Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015
Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Hi just a quickie to say congrats spaghetti - cant believe you are so cool and collected in being able to even sit your driving test while pregnant I had to wait till after ds1 as would have just got myself in an emotional state lol.

sharkey glad to hear your better and baby is wriggly again.

whoever was saying about the dizzy spells - I had loads in the beginning of the pregnancy kept having to lie down and everything they disappeared toward the end of my 2nd trimester both my iron and bp was fine it was just an unfortunate extra ailment I guess. Sorry thats not of any real help but might reassure you that it might not be anything to worry about...

krystal tips -love hearts?!!?!? really I so wish i had been on this forum early on in my pregnancy I was dying with heartburn but really dont like any of the remedy stuff....next time i know now! (hark at me planning another pregnancy already must be losing me mind this trimester lol!!!)
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Krystaltips - I used lovehearts to get me through my first trimester! No idea why they seem to work so well since they're just sugar and flavourings but you're right, they do help settle your stomach.

Bellabear - I don't have cats as we're both allergic (:() but best friend has two and they just make sure the cats are out of the room before they put the little one down to sleep and keep the door shut. One cat wasn't impressed at all and just stays out of the same room as much as possible, the other used to give her a quick sniff and a lick on the head when mum was feeding her, now little one is being weaned she hovers at the edge and darts in to scoff anything thats been dropped.:D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:PMSL!! You are so right though, although getting stiches was one of the worst things I have experienced. I had a very pernickity mw who thought just a couple would do, oh no we'll need another, oops there is a slight tear there too so another one.:eek: I have said before on here that I am worried about it again as it has always felt too tight down there and worry what will happen this time. Actually I'll mention it to my mw when i see her on Thursday.

Love Hearts ah! I thought it was Refreshers someone suggested so bought a packet but it done nothing for me. I didn't waste them though, I gave some to DD (first time of anything sherbety) and stood back to watch her reaction. It was even better when I encouraged her to drink something fizzy (again not something she gets) while eating one......she started frothing at the mouth :rotfl::rotfl:sorry I am a terrible mother :o:o

Sorry you seem to be having such a rough time of it Krystal :( do you think it was something you all ate or just a bug. Poor you!
