Hey ladies, sorry I've not had a chance to catch up on last few pages, just looking for a bit of advice please..have just nearly fainted for the 3rd time today, have gone out and got fresh air the 1st time and felt slightly better, then came back and nearly fainted at my desk (oops!) at which point i was sent home, then nearly again while lying down on the sofa just now! My mw did say that my iron levels are a teeny bit low so i got some supplements today, but the pharmacist didn't seem convinced that this would help as my sanatogen tablets do contain some iron, has anyone else had this problem? (i was also sent home with the same problem about 10 days ago).
Thank you xxx
This is a really obvious and probably stupid question but the MW did check your B/P didn't she, I'm sure she probably would have.
Poor you I get really bad dizzy spells (was prone to it before too) and it gets 100 times worse when I'm tired, got quite a bad one last night, even felt dizzy lying in bed.
Sorry can't help, I have looked into it but as my B/P is never low (and my mw was really impressed with my iron levels) I have just put it down to another pregnancy symptom.:o"That's no reason to cry. Sammy, would you consider a 2nd hand base on ebay? I had a quick look on boots.com as they have sorted us out for a lot of baby's things (+points!) but Amazon is cheaper it seems.
On a side note, does anyone have cats? I don't have any worries that they would hurt LO, but a bit concerned that the smell of milk might attract them? We were looking at a cotbed cat cover from clippasafe but reviews don't seem brilliant, does anyone have any experience of this?£2000/£9000=22.2%0 -
Sorry Teenie I should have mentioned that, I did have low blood pressure, but last time I went to MW's (not my usual, but I called them last time this happened), they checked it and it was normal! So maybe it is low again? Sorry to hear your having the same problem, its very unnerving feeling dizzy when laying down isn't it! Feel silly whinging when apart from this I've been really lucky compared to some, just not sure how I'll do another 2 months of work like this! Really don't want to be put ML early!
Congrats MV how exciting!x£2000/£9000=22.2%0 -
So maybe it is low again?
It could be. Maybe worth getting it checked again. And it's not silly whinging about it, like you said it can be very scary and it sounds like you have it worse than I do, I have not felt like I was about to faint before, it is just a really horrible feeling ((hugs))"That's no reason to cry. Thanks for that lillian don't have to worry about it yet but it's good to have the information to hand!
Hope all ladies and bumps are well, going to sneak back to the less than 12 weeks thread for another fortnight!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

Hi Ladies!
Thanks for the massage info lillian - that's reminded me to start having a go at it!
Well, me and my massive bump just passed our driving test!:j:j:j:j
I say that cos I think that being a bit older (well, everyone else was about 18) and having a big bump did help a bit. The examiner was also really nice - I know I made a few small errors which I think someone stricter would maybe have failed me for.
So glad as I'm now nearly 34 weeks, so I don't know what I'd have done if I'd failed - maybe I'd have had to wait til I was ready again after the birth.
A tip I learned about iron tablets - don't take them with milk or a cup of tea as that prevents absorption. Better something with vitamin c, like orange juice.0 -
:j:j well done Spaghetti, that is brilliant!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0
