  • Thanks EA. Yep it's going nuts..really shifting about a lot..much more than usual.

Not really knowing what contractions feel like (dont know if I've even had BH's), I'm not sure if it's just baby is out of room now, or if he's actually going to start making a move soon.

quick question for ladies who have had babies already..

In the last couple of days mine has been going nuts. He's engaged now so it's not so much kicking I'm feeling, but more massive shifts that make my bump go completely weird shapes and can sometimes take my breath away a bit!

Could this mean that he may put in an appearance soon??

I'm due in 9 days so it's nearly the end anyway (unless he's late of course!), but was just wondering if this massive shifting I'm feeling may be that he is coming sooner rather than later....

I wouldnt hazard a guess because I think its different for everyone.

My lo moved loads and loads until a week before I was due so i thought this is it but then i ended up still being 2 weeks late lol

Just keep an eye out for a show (mucas plug) and ring your midwife should you have any concerned. Oh and just get all your stuff ready just in case that way even if he is early it wont matter so much.
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

I would think he's out of room and trying to moving about the same as before.
My Contractions felt like i needed to poo but couldn't, to start with anyway. But i went from start to 6cm within 2ish hours so i dont know how to time them lol.

the first time around i was like "is this a contraction, is that a contraction" its a pain but all I can say is you will know when hes coming they feel like period pains/constipation/gas but as theres many pains the same with stretching etc its hard to tell you what is what. Just try not to think about it - hard i know lol. Probably as you say baby is trying to move about but has less room which as you can imagine would be quite frustrating lol

All you poorly ladies out there, hope you feel better soon. I currently have flu and feeling VERY sorry for myself, had so much planned for these few days at home before back to work (sorting baby room out, researching reusable nappies and making lists of what to pack for hospital, amongst other things) but just have no energy at all, very frustrating! Any tips on what I could do to shift this illness whilst pregnant? Have been taking paracetamol, throat lozenges, warm baths and breathing in hot water/tea tree oil from a bowl with a towel over my head... but the symptoms only go for max half hour.

Hi - hope you feel better soon, glad you've had a good break. I use this drink and always recommend it, I felt so much better after it:

Also... thinking of starting on Raspberry Leaf Tea, can anyone recommend somewhere I can buy this online (I am overseas so cant nip to the UK shops)? And when would you recommend starting to take it?

As others have said, you could try Holland and Barrett, they ship to European countries, not sure where you are exactly?

I started on a cup a day at 32 weeks, and am now 36 weeks and increasing to 2 cups. Will move up to 3 cups at 38 weeks then 4 at 39.

I almost immediately (within a couple of days) noticed a change - my movements and Braxton Hicks got much stronger and I think I passed my mucus plug last week. So it's definitely doing something!

  • Thanks girls.

This movement is so much more intense than I've had previously, it's actually un nerving me a bit.

Just ran myself a nice warm bath and put in a few drops of clary sage oil, then read that this is good if you go overdue as it can bring on contractions, so decided to empty the bath and give it a miss! I'd like to try and get to the 40 weeks if possible, mind you the way this baby is moving about, I don't know if I am going to last another 9 days!

  • MV, don't you dare have that baby before the 12th! We agreed (sort of! :D) that you'd have sproglet on my birthday!

I'd agree with everyone else - bubs is probably struggling about trying to get comfortable in a small space. I'm sure you'll be the first to know about it when the time is right!
