    Hi Lady bumps,

I'm a long time lurker - just wanted to let you know that Callum James was born 6 weeks early on 27th December weighing 5lb 2oz. My waters broke whilst at the inlaws at about 2.45pm, we then got to hospital about 3.15pm when I started to get slight period type cramps. These started to gradually get stronger and more frequent at which point I used the gas until it was time to start pushing and Callum was then born at 18.56, so a very quick labour!! Still can't believe he is here, I stayed in hospital for 3 days and then was allowed home. Callum will be in for a few weeks until his feeding gets established, he's getting better at breastfeeding but as he's quite sleepy at the moment he's being topped up with tube feeding. For all first time mums that are really scared about labour my best advice would be to stay calm and relaxed - I just tried to go with the flow and it worked for me and I think I was quite lucky to have a nice straight forward birth.
Oh my goodness, am due a week before you were - this makes it feel very real. Congratulations on baby Callum, I hope the weeks pass quickly for you so you can have him at home.

Another thing I am after is a nursing/maternity pillow, so any recommendations of good deals on one would be fab!?!

    :)

I actually used something like these the last time and will get the same again. I got two and they were fab for the later stages of pregnancy in bed to stop the reflux and fantastic for breastfeeding. I always used both of them for this as I felt I was bending over too much with just the one and it brought DD closer to me.

ETA they are pretty cheap too, you can get one from around £8 so even if you were buying 2 they are still cheaper than the usual breast feeding supports that I have come across.

I was 33 weeks + 6 on the day he was born, so he was just over 6 weeks early.

Thank you, it's still sinking in that he's here. My hospital bag was only half packed and we didn't have any clothes to fit him as he's still so little, but we're managing to muddle through and everyone is so supportive. Can't wait to get him home. The hospital are not allowing any visitors (apart from parents) at the mo due to swine flu so our families haven't even met him yet!

Thanks Teenie! Where did you get them from or where could you recommend? Had a look on ebay and can see some that look similar but not sure whether to go for them.
    Cheers.

I got mine from Bid tv LOL! We can't get that channel here now but i noticed both Tesco and Asda do them on line. I would prefer to see them first so not sure what i will do this time, I suppose i could send them back if they are not suitable. They are probably much and such the same though.
