Hey everyone.
Congrats Ejecoms.
Thanks for the hugs Sammy, I hope you had a lovely birthday btw. Still feeling pretty awful and the sore throat keep making me sick, but being well looked after.
However, I just had a call from one of the midwives at the hospital. I had the 16 week blood test at my last appointment and while my Down's risk is low, the Spina Bifida one has come back slightly raised.
I'm having a scan at 9am tomorrow morning with a consultant. Consoling myself with the fact that it doesn't mean anything is wrong, that the test can give false highs and that she looked fine on the last scan. But I'm still scared. Whatever happens though I'm not having further testing - CVS or Amnio, and I'll carry on with the pregnancy. Just hope she's all right in there. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -
Keith, we have a completely undecorated nursery, which is full of everything but baby stuff, and we have a pile of donated stuff - cot, car seat, clothes and moses basket, and we're due 8th Feb, so from my perspective, you're doing very well
KittyKate sproglet is soooo active I worry that people sitting on the sofa next to me can feel the sofa moving when he has a wriggle. I regularly get woken up at all hours of the night by someone having a fidget. As someone else said, it feels as though he's looking for an escape hatch! I've gone right off sweet things too, and since then the wriggling has got far far worse. Today it's been almost constant since about 5am.

Anyone know how long it takes to get Tesco baby club stuff through? I joined online about 2 weeks before Christmas, so I don't know how long to leave it before chasing them for my clubcard etc.
We just put the carseat in the car. Even DH is starting to get a bit scared about it all now. With the carseat in, it seems all a bit too real.
Was hoping to start of RL tea, but looking on the internet I found a site that recommends discussing with the MW first if you have any history of Fibroids or endometriosis, which I do.
I get achy ribs and back too. I've put it down to a side effect of being pregnant, and now get DH to make me a hotwater bottle to help ease things
Am quite worn out now, after having relatives all Christmas, so I'll stop rambling, and with you all a Happy New Year  (they're holding alcohol free beer)

Was going to have a bath, but we dont have any hot water (central heating is still working ok tho) Called my LL and she is away for Xmas and not back until next week, thankfully we have an electric shower so I can still have a wash. Sitting in my Pj's now and just dont feel right, im probs just feeling sorry for myself.
Sharkey can you call your midwife for reassurance or to get checked if you are feeling that bad?
We didn't have hot water for a week, was a valve in boiler. Does she not have an agent who deal with things for her or do you deal with her direct?

Just had my 24 week appointment at doctors. Got my MatB1 form so will be handing that in at work on Tues. She said baby was nice and active so all good. Only thing is I came up as having a UTI or something so on antibiotics now and they are going to test urine. I have lost my prescription card as lost my purse but the lady at pharmacy let me have it free anyway.
Garnetlady - hope all is OK tomorrow.0 -

Good luck for tomorrow x
Thanks SA. That's a better reading than me, had reading of 0.79 and which was a bit high. Our babies are similar size though. I know the readings can go up and down a bit though so shouldn't read too much into them.
Sharkey, hope u ok. Have you felt babs moving?
I've just sterted getting achey ribs at the back right hand side-better when i lift my arms.

Great news on team pink alamaya
sharkey hope you feel better soon. Call your MW if you are worried though.
Just been for a truely awful lunch with my NCT girls. The girls and babies were all fine, but the service and food was appauling, culminating in an hours wait and then everything being sent back as it was crap and cold...I hate bad service in resturants..it's one of my bug bears
So home again now for emergency cheese on toast!
Got friends coming for dinner tonight and OH is making beef bourginoir (sp), so at least we'll get one good meal today!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Sharkey, get it checked hun, do you have a drop in centre? or go to A+E. If in any doubt please go see someone, thats why we pay taxes and ni etc.
MV, i am sooooooo jealous of your gorgeous bump, i know i say it everytime you post a pic, but its just so small and dainty. Mine is bigger than yours and i'm so far behind you :-(
I just hope i can slim straight back down after bubs is here. Was back in my size 12 jeans within 2 weeks of having dd2.
Alamaya, congrats on team pink. Now you can start buying those gorgeous baby girl clothes. I find myself walking around the shops looking at boys stuff for bubs, but end up in the girls section as they're so much cuter.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)
