Tickle, congratulations, you look lovely!
OK, I have an urgent (possibly) question....I think I may have started to lose my mucus plug, am 35 weeks tomorrow. Is that too early, or possibly just a sign that baby will come earlier than 40 weeks? Basically I've wiped twice in the last few hours and had long thick stringy sticky discharge, not quite clear but no blood - like the egg white you're told to look out for when you're ovulating. From every website I've seen, it says it's the mucus plug, but that it means labour is still about 2 weeks away. Is that correct? Can anyone shed any light on what else it could be?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Oh I know what I was going to ask. When do you start getting braxton hicks? As in my 21 week email from Bounty (I think) it mentioned I may start getting mild contractions now? Seems too early. I haven't yet anyway.
I've been waiting for braxtons for months as I probably read the same thing as you! But IF I have had a braxton then I think I had it about a week ago at 33 weeks. And have only had 1 more since. Some people don't get them at all though.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Thanks girls. It's my first so I suppose I'll feel things a bit later on.
As the placenta is now anterior I am not feeling bubs as much, which is a shameAny idea when OH could feel bubs as well?

Thanks Giz. Sorry to write in bold but I know how easy it is to skip past posts (I'm very guilty of it) and I'm a little worried. I think I will give them a call tomorrow AM.
Does this mean I should have complete bed rest now - and no more work?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Good evening ladies x
Welcome to new arrivals
Lillian - Hmmm when I lost my plug it was like a large blob.....I made DH come and look at it.Sure I've heard though, that if you start to lose it, it just "re-forms".
I'm currently a martyr to BH's. Not painful as such, just uncomfortable and belly is rock hard, can see his little bum sticking up!
Hope you feel better soon Digital. x And hope your OH bucks ups soon Sammy, don't know what it is with men and bins, I have a job on with mine!
((hugs)) to my bump buddy RBG. And anyone else who need em. x
Good luck with scan tomorrow Evans.
Well, had my flu jab this aft! :T Feel right pleased with myself.:D Then did Christmas food shopping, only thing I didn't get was sprouts, sold out, so that's OH's task for tomorrow!
:heart2:Baby boy due 4th March 2011:heart2:0 -
Sorry Lilian, the mucus plug grows back and you can lose it over and over...
Also... A small amount of tmi (in the spirit of the thread...) I have what's like egg white mucus... But sometimes very jellyfied and small gobs of it come out every time I wipe... It's not my plug...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Lilian - I knew someone who lost her plug at 32 weeks and then went 15 days overdue! I don't think you need to worry but would agree with calling your midwife. (I'm secretly jealous as I haven't had any sign of mine yet!)
Tickle - you look beautiful! Lovely Christmassy wedding photos.
I don't think I noticed any BHs until about 34 weeks and then it was just that I happened to put my hand on the bump and it was hard. Now I can't get away from them - wish they would either stop or turn into proper contractions.
Sammy - my OH hasn't bought me a Christmas present. He was going to buy something on Sunday but that was the day it snowed and I told him it wasn't safe to go out. He isn't really into presents but I am! Like you say, it is about the thought that goes into getting the right thing - I don't care what he spends.
Pelvic floor exercises done! Time to make dinner!0
