I'm in so much pain today, bad back, baby is kicking my ribs like crazy, at the same time as knocking on my cervix, and I've suddenly got period like cramps too.

At the same time I'm thinking if I'm being a wimp now, how was I ever going to do natural childbirth!

We haven't done our Xmas food shop yet, but I'm just not sure I can physically do it, but if we leave it till tomorrow there will be nothing left.

I've felt the same throughout my pregnancy, I don't really know what I was expecting but I definitely expected more than I've had - I feel slightly like I'm on a carousel of pregnant women and the midwives all seem so jaded - like they're forgotten what a magical time it actually is, and that we don't know the answers to our questions like they do.

Could you go to Boots or Tesco for the jab? I know they charge for it but it's not that much and if you really want it then it's worth the expense IMO. xx

I know what you mean Lilian. I try and go armed with all the questions that I need to ask but with everything going on you don't always remember and they just seem to go through the motions.

Good idea re Boots/Tescos. Bit annoyed I would have to pay for it especially as most ladies seem to have been able to get this through their GPs at short notice

Be glad to shop at silly o'clock if someone could tell me these pains will be gone by then.

Ladies, don't feel afraid to take a written list of questions with you to your appointments and tick each one off - its much better than coming out thinking darn I forgot to ask that.

  • i just got my flu jab today (39+1) Feel baby should be ok as it will be fully developed and will maybe get a bit of protection from me. In hind sight it's probably to late to protect baby as it could arrive at any time but hopefully pass through enough for some sort of protection. x

  • Got my free gift today for joining avent baby club, its a newborn bottle with a teat. I probably won't use it unless there is a disaster, but its well wrapped up and doesn't have a sell by date, so I'll pass it on to someone else if baby is born with no drama.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

I got my bottle from Avent this morning too - will be useful for expressed milk so OH can do some feeds. I think I will buy a couple of Tomee Tipee ones too in the next Asda baby event along with my steriliser :)
