I sent mine in nearly 4 weeks ago and havent had it yet, but thats my own fault because I didnt blummin sign it, doh.
Providing you did sign it, midwife said within 4 weeks, the form says to call them if you havent received it after 4 weeks but it could take up to 6 weeks, which doesnt make much sense to me.
Wont get mine til Jan now, but then I guess I'll need it more then so probably for the bestSealed Pot Challenge Member 151

Guys..sorry, I'm sure this has been covered, but my mother in law has started flapping about swine flu and the fact that I haven't had a jab.
I was offered one through my BUPA cover from work a couple of months back, but didn't have one as didn't really fancy it. Did I make a bad decision?
Based on the fact that I am on ML now and now using public transport etc, is there much chance I could still catch it?
I'm guessing that at coming up to 38 weeks, it's a bit late now...?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Well I had mine today and it does take 10 - 14 days to cover you so you probs wont be covered for the pregnancy but might still be good to have it save being ill with a newborn?Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

Not sure what to suggest, Ive had mine because I just dont want to risk getting it, kind of glad as there are a couple pg ladies in the local hospital at the moment fighting it. I wouldnt think youre too late for it, perhaps give your doctors a quick call tomorrow and have a chat about it?Sealed Pot Challenge Member 151

B*gger!
Ok thanks guys, I'll give my GP a call in the morning. Is there a new epidemic or something at the moment?
Just had a quick read back..Fanta awesome scan pic!
Tickle hope you had a great day x
Mit3 - sorry you had a disappointing 36 week scan. Fingers crossed you will still be able to have your home birth.
ALso can't remember who was asking about not feeling movement at 21 weeks, but I didn't feel anything till right up towards the end of my 27th/28th week. I fretted loads about it, and in fact all was fine. It was most likely my placental position.
If you're really worried they can monitor the babies heartbeat for you which should put your mind at rest.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

I was reading on the BBC News that the amount of people in Intensive Care because of flu has gone from 182 last week to 302 this week. They don't know how many of those have swine flu, but the jab covers you for the seasonal flu too, well for the one that you're most likely to get.Professor David Salisbury, the government's director of immunisations urged all at-risk groups to get immunised. He said pregnant women should "seek every means to get vaccinated as soon as possible".
And as someone else said (sorry pg brain, I forget who), if your BFing then you'll pass some of your immunity onto baby. Mummy to an amazing little girl0
