Talking of clothes anyone having a girl who might spot some bargain stuff in the sales don't get any 9-12 month skirts/dresses she will be crawling and they can't do it in a dress
They can as long as the dress isn't too long.

Hi 2girlsforme, gosh your 2nd was big! Dont blame you for wanting to go early. However, can I just point out one thing that you might want to consider/discuss with mw.The digestive tract doesn't develop until 36th week. My little boy was early, and he has suffered terrible problems with regards to a immature digestive tract. He was 32 weeks, but due to his reflux I found an amazing support group and many of the babies there were born 36 weeks and had bad reflux. Saying this, the vast majority born 36 weeks are healthy.
Its difficult isn't it as you probalbly dont know what to do for best and now i've come and given my 2 pence worth. Sorry if I have confused matters or if this is not what you wanted to hear. However, I wouldn't have forgiven myself if yuor little one suffered like mine has.
ps, I think i've read somewhere that reaspberry leaf doesn't induce labour, it just makes the labour shorter. Look up evening primrose oil, I think that induces labour.

Thanks for that info Luwcus - your poor wee boy! DD2 broke her arm when she was born and that was quite hard emotionally - although we were very aware that she came off very lightly - I would not be asking to be started anytime before 37 weeks, just that I have my scan at 36 wks, not really sure how they are going to be about it - will wait and see - maybe baby will be too big then - who knows - I just want to avoid a section if at all possible. It is all about the unknown factors!! and as I have said before ultimately all I want is for us both to come out of it all safely - don't think DH could handle the trauma again :o
On the subject of raspberry leaf tea, I am planning on using the tablets as I dont do tea of any sort. I have found these and its the cheapest I have found so far.

    HTH
    :D

Pelvic floor :j Use it! Or lose it!

Well last time around I took the tablets and washed them down with the RLT :D - and my goodness she was a coming quick!! if she had been a bitty smaller it would have been a wonderful birth!
Changing tables I didn't get one with DD didn't see it as nessecary but have bought one this time having used one with friends babies.

I had to start with the pillow between the legs caper this week otherwise I squash the bump and feel like I'm sleeping on a bag of tennis balls. It's a right faff as I turn over alot so I have to keep reaching down to move the pillow over.

changing tables - I have seriously been thinking about getting one of these this time around - or at least a cot top changer, Never had one for my other 2 but this time with the possibility of a section, havng older knees :rotfl:and living in a bungalow now I think it may be quite a good idea! a few people have said how good they are if you have had a section - need to get on and make my mind up though - time is running out fast!

And I agree with the pillow carry on - it is such a pain - I feel like I am constantly moving the blooming thing! I now make DH turn over and use his legs as a support :rotfl::rotfl:he rarely wakes up - just moves to suit me - ha ha good boy that he is!
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

I had an Ikea changing table with DD and DS, it was quite handy as it was waist height but I dont have room for one now. I ended up changing them on my knee most of the time and the floor for poops. Ill probably just have a mat this time and do it on the floor or couch.

My Ds did almost roll off it once, cant remember how old he was ( 6 months ish) so I stopped using it after that.

I agree with the skirt/dress dilemma for girls. We also had laminate flooring so it was almost impossible for her to get around until we moved. We had to buy a rug so she could get some purchase lol.
The skirts kept getting caught under her.

Wow what's with this weather. We've about 5 inches of snow here. Poor OH just rang me to say he's walking home cos there's no buses and he's in his oily overalls cos his trackies and trainers are sodden, oh and he's stopping at Manchester city centre on way to do his Xmas shopping. I know I shouldn't laugh but :rotfl:

Thank god we don't have to try and drive anywhere this weekend. Staying in painting the bathroom.

I've woken feeling very unpregnant this morning. Anyone else have days like this.? Feel great, had a great nite sleep, baby not moving just yet. Sometimes I honestly forget I am pg.

Sorry to hear u didn't make it out fanta altho I guess weather is even worse where u are do maybe for the best.

Don't venturenout unless u absolutely have to ladies. Don't want any slipping and sliding.

    Mornin :)

24 weeks today, baby is viable, woo hoo!!

No snow here :( prob a good thing as I'm heading over to my mums.

I am def getting a cot top changer, may not use it often, but there are a few on eBay that I have my eye on. I was thinking I'll prob only use it for the night time changes so I can keep bubs in his room, mind you saying that he may be too big / active for it by the time he goes in his own room!!

    Laters xx

Not bought a thing yet :o, I have browsed the boy section, but always veer off to girls... We've decided after Christmas we'll get everything and get organised, otherwise poor thing will be sleeping in a drawer Brittas Empire stylee! :D
