Afternoon all!
Re changing tables: we haven't bought one but happened to have a table about the right size with a shelf underneath (used to have my sewing machine on) which I've moved up to the bathroom to use as a changing table. However, went round to my friend's last week and they just put the changing mat on the bed.
I'm 39 weeks now! Feeling so big I have real problems bending over/standing up etc so can't wait to get this baby out! Ate a whole pineapple last night and then DTD (not a very graceful performance!). Now there is 4 inches of snow outside and we would really struggle getting to the hospital so don't know if I do want to go into labour after all! Have been having a few contractions but have had this before and nothing happened...0 -
"you're going to be the proud parent of a baby girl, and just look- isn't she just so damn cute! Based on our remote test results, your beautiful baby girl will weigh about 12 lbs, 14 oz and have brown hair and green eyes. Truly a Wonder To Behold!"
Dear god!!! 12lbs, 14ozs!!! Thank god i'm having a C Section!!!!
And the daddy:
You little whiskey-sippin' momma, you succumbed to the slick, double-dealin' charm of Boss Hogg. Your child will probably grow up to be a Lord (slum or war).
Lololololol!!!!
Ah well, made me chuckle anyhow! We're snowed in here and i'm not getting out to do my Christmas shoppingBetter clear up before Monday!

Happy Saturday folks.
We have had tons of snow in South London today. It seemed to come from nowhere and next thing it was like a blizzard with 4 or so inches settling!
We (stupidly) went out in it just to get a few bits of food from the shop..took ages as cars and vans were struggling to get up the hill.
It actually freaked me a bit as I am 37 weeks on Monday and if Mr Bump decides he wants to make an early appearance, we'd REALLY struggle in this weather. My birthing centre is on the other side of London! It takes a good hour in good weather and no traffic! _pale_
OH helpfully said we'd probably have to phone an ambulance and he'd have to deliver the baby himself at home!!!!! AUUUGH!!
Oh and to the ladies worrying about the responsibility bit that comes after the birth, I'm with ya!
Mind you I woke up ridiculously excited about it all this morning! :j
Blumming hormones!
My mother told me too that apparently this weather is due to last for the next month. Having a January baby really is perilous!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Woo Hoo, sent off my hipg form 8 days ago, just checked bank balance and its showing as due to go in on monday :-)
Also had a letter from Jobcentre re Mat allowance and they have said i'll be getting the max, which is about £125 per week. Really pleased as currently only working a few hours a week, but with MA you can claim for the max mount you were earning during your 66 week test period, so i claimed from jan to mar when i was working 2 jobs.
Ejecoms, thinking of you. What a nightmare situation to be in, wanting to meet your little one...but fearing being snowed in. Think we must be the only place in the country that hasn't had any snow. Gutted as i love the stuff.
Labour vibes to everyone else wanting them xx:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Hello gorgeous bumpies!! Hope you're all ok? xxx
Not staying long but just had to share this cos it made me laugh so much... I'm having a quick mooch on eBay for maternity jeans while Miss Moo eats her dinner (mine was gone in about 2 seconds) ...
"Maternity jeans for women"
Seriously, they make them for men too?!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's probably just me that finds it so funny, I seem to be laughing at everything today due to lack of sleep - my lovely(!) neighbours decided to share "Mad Friday" with me at 4 this morning - as you can imagine I didn't share their 'mad as in fun' and was more 'mad as in incandescent'
Going back to mooching now anyway, hugs to all xxxAll horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.

Good Afternoon Ladies,
I hope you're all keeping well and warm. Snowing bucket loads here. Took my dog for a walk this morning and it was fine, went round to see in laws and it chucked it down whilst I was there and it took me 45 min to drive the mile home
Anyways, I'm home now - and hubby's put some lunch on
jojo - good news about the Mat Allowance :j I need to print the form off and fill it in. Do you only have to send in three payslips for the 12 weeks as I haven't received any payslips from my current job. But I do have three from the summer when I was earning the most! I've had a quick look at the Direct Gov website, but really need to sit down and look at it properly. I don't want to start claiming until March, so I suppose I've got a bit of time.
MV - Crikey, I hope it's fair weather when you go into labour! I wouldn't fancy trekking half way across London in this weather!
Any new bump pics? I might try and see if hubby will take another one today - but he always moans - don't know why!0 -
Afternoon all,
fanta, glad you got some antibiotics, I've only had for a day and feel loads better, especially as earache gone, still having the odd coughing fit tho.
Happy Birthday annibee!
Went to town this morning, got home and since had 4 plus inches of snow in 2 hours!! Out of town shopping now on hold, will have to go late night next week. I've been really thirsty today, apple juice currently my drink of choice. TMI but had some more brownish discharge, while its brown keep telling myself not to worry.
Got my appointment with consultant on 2nd February, hopefully will have had 20 week scan week before.
Although I've held babies when it came to nappys they soon got returned to the parents! I'm sure it will all come naturally......won't it???!!:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:0 -

I'm not claiming until the end of feb, but wanted to make sure i had it done. I sent in 4 months worth of payslips from when i was earning the most, then they will sort through and figure out which 12 weeks you were getting paid the most.
The form is a little long winded, but just double check everything and make sure you have the smp1 form from your employer as well as the matb1. I also requested that they send my payslips back recorded and i sent them recorded (didn't want them going missing). Although they didnt come back recorded they are safely back with me.
They send you another form back thats just one page long and i think its just a tick box and signature thats required on it and you send that back to them once you have finished working. Hope that helps a bit.:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)
