Ema - everyone seems to want tot ouch my bump at work, I don't really mind as its people i know but will be weird if some random person does it.

I am going to venture to sainsburys in my wellies in a min as dont seem to have any food.
  • Morning lovelies - blimey it's a bit quiet in here isn't it?!

Feel absolutely carp today, woke up far too early, my teeth/nose/throat/neck ache - even my hair hurts and have got a red swollen eye :( Have taken two paracetamol and whinged to hubs that someone should really make a medicinal range specifically for pregnant women cos paracetamol just doesn't cut it! We're supposed to be going out for a meal with the in-laws tonight too, not sure I fancy it while feeling so pants as well as the arctic conditions outside, but don't want to cancel as we're still in the awkward phase after sorting things out so I don't want them to think we're making excuses and being funny beggars. Pops-in-law drives lorries and is working today, so there's a chance they'll cancel, depending on where he ends up today and what time he gets home... I reckon we'd enjoy it if we did go though - how awkward am I?! :rotfl:

Right, self indulgent moan over, I'm off to snuggle on the couch with Moo - hubs got in from work, had a bath and went straight to bed, he was working in -8 last night  Still... He could have made me a brew at least :rotfl:

Hope mums and bumps (and other loves ones) are all well - stay safe and warm!! xxxx

Hi Cutterby I have one tomorrow morning - mine is a growth scan though at 34 weeks so don't really get to see so much - but enough :D also got another GTT (my 4th ) Is this your 20 week scan?

I had a rubbish night - again! was up from about 3.30 and went to bed when DH and DD's got up at 7.30 :o just getting so uncomfy now and got a bit of a cold which seems to be way worse through the night.

Did dream last night that I had given birth and it was a boy!! was a bit shocked! :rotfl:

I dunno why but I immediately thought of you when I got the Pinecone email Giz - must've heard you mention it at some point maybe. Have forwarded you their email :)

I already do The National Shopping Monitor not sure if that is the same as TNS? I have to scan my shopping with a handheld machine and it feeds back what I've brought, they then give me points which I can exchange for shopping vouchers. I've got almost £400 saved up now am keeping them for when I have lost my baby weight and am ready to undergo my new yummy mummy makeover :D am going to use them to get a whole wardrobe of new clothes! (at some point)

Have done quite well from surveys this year think I've earnt about £400 from doing them :) will definitely keep doing them when on maternity leave as the extra cash will come in handy!
Thanks Fairy. I've registered. I always worry when there's a question about if a member of the household works in a company that sells food :( I think I always get rejected from those surveys. I hope it doesn't cause me to fail the criteria for pinecone (OH works at Tesco).

No, the food survey I have is painful. You get a book 4 times a year to fill in. You get £15 in capital bonds per book and also entered into a draw (I did actually win £50 cheque once). Then you get a £15 bonus for doing all 4 for the books in the year. But you also occasionally get an email for short surveys (based on things you might have put in your food book) and they are usually £2 or £3 capital bonds for literally a couple of minutes, so I suppose it's not too bad. When you get the book you have to fill it in for 2 weeks with EVERYTHING you and the family eat. And also a 'snack' book for each member. It really is time consuming.

Compared to consumer pulse it's a lot more work.

Anyone here do comping? I'm thinking about setting aside half hour each day while on mat leave to enter as many as possible. Some of the prizes some people win on the comping board are great - I'm not so lucky me. I do it for about a month then get bored. Not won a single thing!

Right I am off to make mince pies, sausage rolls and fairy cakes for my lovely colleagues at work for a 'leaving' pressie from me.

Hello 2G! This is a repeat of our 20 week scan, cos Creature wouldn't let them take any measurements last time, little tinker :D I'm actually 23 weeks, so hoping we'll be able to see things and maybe find out which team we're on ;)I've got my first GTT on 24th Jan - is it as bad as I'm thinking? I'm dreading going so long without anything to eat, I'm a bit of a gannet at the minute :oGood luck for your test and scan :D

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well too - I know it's 'that' time of the year but we all seem to be ill, seems us pregnant ladies are good at sharing :rotfl: Hope you're feeling better soon xx

    Morning ladies and bumps.

I have not long woken up, slept for 13 hours last night (bar for a couple of toilet trips!) I must have needed it but I feel SO stewed now, almost hungover.

Still got lots of snow here so I am not going to try and get the car out. Thankfully I have everything I need until at least Tuesday as it's a long walk down the mountain to the nearest shop!

Still feeling carp but I'm feeling better than I was last week, which is good.

Good luck to Garnet, nic, Cutterby and 2girlsforme for your scans. OH and I have decided to book a private gender scan in the new year as we weren't able to find out at our 20 wek scan.

Hope everyone is ok and labout vibes to all in need x x
