That list sounds good Dusty, if it is just for coming home. I haven't thought about it much yet, but I expect I will have 5 or 6 sleepsuits and bodysuits for baby in hospital, then similar to you for leaving outfit (although hoping won't be in hospital for long but never know).

Love the pram suit, v cute :) . Think you will need a hat though as hood won't tuck in tight around bubs head (in case of a breeze). If you know anyone who knits OH's gran has made us a few of these and they are v cute, also got one in teh huggies newborn pack.

I think in some ways team yellow is good as sometimes they get it wrong - that's why I'm buying very little boy specific stuff.

Lots of women have NO problems whatsoever and I know that Grateful (I think) prefers to be induced, but personally I found the whole thing really traumatic. Sorry I didn't mean to make that an essay :o like I said this is purely personal for me, I know of lots of friends who have been induced and they have there babies the same day.

I definitely don't prefer it, just it wasn't too bad an experience.

I didn't have pessaries though, as already partly dilated, just had the drip. Took about 5 hours start to finish.

I was thinking this! Im not friends with anyone on here so dont know whats going on half the time!!

I did say if anyone wanted to add me on there Facebook to drop me a PM but nobody did :(

Congratulations Snugglepants glad to hear that it all went well.

I love the pram suit Dusty but I absolutely refuse to pay £18 for something that may only get worn a handful of times. Personally I think M & P clothes are horrendously overpriced - I almost had a cardiac arrest when we went there yesterday looking at some of them :o

Finished work early and went to do a bit of shopping. The pain in my rib cage has become almost unbearable now, especially when walking around. Then I suddenly came over all funny and almost threw up whilst walking down the street :( was meant to go to Asda but really didn't feel great so came home and am wrapped up in a duvet on the sofa. Need to go out to get some food shopping but really can't face getting out of my pyjamas and going out :(

Feeling a little sorry for myself atm :(

  • thanks for that info Teenie & Grateful - I had the drip with DD1, because waters had broken and no contractions followed - about 48 hours later - and like Grateful I didn't find the drip too bad. DD2 came herself 10 days late - but was large and got stuck. I am not sure what the consultant is going to think, but if baby is not too big at 36 week scan then I am hoping to persuade them to induce me early to try a natural delivery - rather than be left till 39 weeks and have to have a section. That of course is all baby size dependent, because of the last delivery there is no way I would be allowed to have the baby naturally if it is big - way too risky. I just really want a section to be the last option!
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Sorry for missing your post Dusty, I was trying to find the FB group info - I looked for ages before (and confused myself mightily!) - could have just looked on the EDD list  So, just posting again for anyone who might have missed it earlier :)

Shazza, I'll PM you with my profile link if you fancy adding me? :) I agree with you on the expense of some clothes - how can they justify charging those prices?! Sorry to hear you're not well - really hope it's something that passes and not the beginning of something nasty. Can't you order a takeaway for tea tonight? If you haven't any money on you to pay, there's a website you can order from your local takeaway and pay online - there's a 50p charge but it's well worth it for those times you can't be bothered! I *think* it's www.just-eat.co.uk and they cover just about every kind of takeaway. Hope that helps in some way. Hugs xxxx

    Evening Ladies :)

Sorry for those feeling very much under the weather Shazza and Fanta I remember, the others baby brain took from me. Sorry. (((Hugs))) and hope you feel better soon.

Dusty - I feel the same as you. Because of the time of year, it's hard to know what the weather will be like, so I guess be prepared for all eventualities! I have mostly sleepsuits, but also have a couple of those soft velour type dungaree sets - so they are comfy for baby without being stiff like denim or cord. I love the pramsuit you posted - very nice :)

The very first thing I bought for my bubs was a lovely fleecy/velour tiger print pramsuit with matching hat, on our hols in Aug. I'm hoping we get to use it. I's the one on the top left of the pic in the natural colour. It does look nicer in real life lol :)
