Right am playing catch up here as even though I’ve been reading I’ve not had time to reply.
Firstly welcome to any newbies
Good luck to Teenie and salski for your scans today
Hope everyone else is well *hugs*
On the subject of weight my midwife hasn’t weighed me at all since my booking in appointment, the only time I have been weighed was at my 12 week scan. I have been keeping an eye on my weight though as I started off overweight and must admit I am worried about being left with loads of additional weight to lose after the baby comesso far I have put on a stone (am 26 ½ weeks now) and according to an online pregnancy weight gain calculator I use I am spot on for where I should be so that makes me feel (relatively) better. Although I am starting to feel very weeble like and worry about how big I will be in another 12 – 14 weeks!
As soon as the baby comes I shall be back on the Slimming World plan!
My bump seems to have suddenly appeared – it feels like someone has stuck something on my front! Had my first random person start up a conversation with me about pregnancy in Asda last night lol.
I keep getting a pain in the right hand side of my bump which is kind of like an ache. It feels like its under my rib cage and is constantly there – anyone else had this? I was wondering if maybe the baby has a hand or foot under there atm – could that be possible at this stage?
Suddenly realised that maybe we should start buying a few more bits for the baby, as really haven’t ticked much off our list yet. I think we’ll probably wait until after Christmas and then try and make a concerted effort to start getting the rest of the stuff. No idea where we are going to put it though!

Hello lovelies, hope everyone is well. Not had time to catch up properly (as usual) but good luck for your scans today Teenie & Salski, also Charlie I saw you were waiting to hear from the hospital so hope they get their act sorted and get back to you (hugs)).
OH's mum has just had a hip replacement and is in hospital (likely to be there for a while). OH went to visit her last night and I really didn't want to go - am a bit paranoid about catching something. Not like me at all - am I just being selfish?? Apparently she was very drugged up and out of it last night anyhow so didn't miss me.
Also, seems my dithering about whether or not to get the flu jab has been a bad idea - I phoned our surgery to book in for it yesterday and they told me the flu clinic was finished.... Apparently they may review after Christmas and have a few more dates, but they weren't sure.
Another pg friend of mine had it yesterday, and I have been worrying now that I should have had it - never knew there was only a limited time to have it during. I'm not sure if I could have it directly through my doc (should I book an appointment) or if I have to just take my chances?? Friend was talking about swine flu being included so I think that is what's got me worried.
Hope everyone & bumps are well xx0 -
Just a quick one to say -
Ema - I missed my flu jab clinic because I wasn't feeling well. I had an appointment with my gp later on and he did it there and then. So might be worth trying that. Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

Thanks for the hugs you guys.
Good luck to those with scans today! Pics would be nice!
Hospital just phoned - had to tell hubby first but:
I'm considered low risk with a 1:6600 chance of having a downs baby. I'm happy with those odds.

I have just had a look at weight gain calculators, being nosey after reading your post. The american ones say I am spot on, the UK ones say I am only allowed to gain 1lb more  However they base this on a 7.5lb baby, but DD was 10lb3 so I am allowing myself a bit of leeway lol. As I keep telling OH I just need to be a few inches taller and then my BMI would be lower lol. In all honesty I am aiming to get my BMI to 35 after bubs is born, at booking in I was a BMI of 43. So Weight watchers for me when little tickle arrives, as I think I will have approx 4 stone to lose.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz*Post Baby Weight loss start 23st5lb [STRIKE]now 19st 13lbs[/STRIKE] Post pregnancy weight #2 22st3lbs now 20st12*0 -
I've put on just less than 4lbs in just under 20 weeks which isn't bad considering I'm eating whatever I want whenever I want it. I think the weight gain being so small is due to going off chocolate.
Well, I missed the docs call but temp has come down to 37.something at last check. Am going to put oven on for some m&s fresh chips for my lunch to see if that helps. 2 more paracetamol too with my lunch so that should help as head is stinking heavy.
EMA, I don't think you're being selfish not going to hospital as it's full of sick people and infections...plus the temperature in there helps them breed too. I didn't have the flu jab, have flu today but I'm doing my best to fight it with sleep, food, drink and a bit of PMA chucked in. My SIL came from the chemist with only paracetamol...better than nothing but they didn't let her have the blackcurrant cough stuff so back to suffering in (non) silence!
Fairy, I'll do Slimming World too if need be. I gain what I gain...I'm being mindful and thinking "do I really need it?" but most times I think f*ck it yeah!0
