dont think you need an exemption card? I think you'd get it free anyway being preggers. x

Yes you will but you'd probably still need the maternity exemption card :)

My dentist has always asked to see my exemption card when I have been for appointments since I informed them I am pregnant.

I am having real problems as I have developed a pregnancy tumour on my gum. It basically means the gum is enlarged and has grown downwards between the two teeth :( it bleeds really badly when I brush sometimes for up to 15 minutes at a time. I mentioned it to the dentist last week as had an appointment and he said they don't like to do anything about them as if they remove them they can grow back more quickly than they first appeared. It's because of the increased hormones and blood flow to the gum. He gave me some Corsodyl mouthwash on prescription, told me to use it for a week then have three weeks off using it. It has helped a bit but on certain days it still bleeds badly.

I might have to go back as he said he can give me some antibiotics for it if I need them. Trust me to get something like that!

Oh dear FairyShazza, that sounds awful. I haven't seen any tumor and the bleeding isn't too bad so hopefully it isn't the same for me. I know bleeding gums are common in pregnancy though.
Congrats on teh pram, make it all a bit real doesn't it? We put our deposit down at the end of Nov and was told it would be in stock 3rd Dec but haven't heard from them yet. I'm not chasing it yet as we would obv prefer to pay the balance after xmas. We are keeping it at my mums anyway.
Are you going to take it for a spin? what have you got coming? The Zoom and carrycot or a few more bits?

I've got the excemption card somewhere just no idea where, may as well use it

I just told my dentist I am pregnant. She didn't ask for the card and I have never been give one either. I'm in Wales though if that makes a difference?

It may well do, I'm not sure - I got a form to apply for one from my midwife at my booking in appointment.

Just had secret santa buffet at work - I'm SO full now!

    Certainly does! :D

They were more or less bang on time with ours as they said more stock was due in on 3rd December and then it would be around the middle of December that they expected it to arrive in the store. We have the Zoom with the carrycot we are going to get the car seat (Maxi Cosi Cabrio) elsewhere and will probably order that after Christmas I’m thinking I might get it from Amazon as I have a £50 voucher to spend on there which I won in a competition plus I should be able to get some kind of cashback or points somewhere by ordering from there :)

As much as I’d like to take it for a spin I think we might try and keep it in the box for the time being as not quite sure where we are going to put it. We don’t have anyone near us who can keep it at their house (unfortunately) so we are going to have to find somewhere to house it at ours. Am worried that once I take it out of the box we won’t be able to get it back in again :rotfl:

Are you drinking enough fluids? Dehydration headaches are apparently quite common in pregnancy. Mine eased when I started to drink a bit more.
