I think they are trying to make me a tad insane. Which is unlucky considering I have 2 children already and already reached that stage years ago! :D

Aw thanks Nic and Cutterby I kept dreaming about it last night and the traffic was too busy and I just made it (very stressed) but then we forgot about DD so she missed it then I was crying 'cause I never got a piccy and then I remembered I didn't even seeing the baby ....phew ! I have completely lost the plot methinks :D

I am going to try and have a sneaky peak but I'm sure I wont see anything. My gut feeling with this is that it's a boy.

Woke up this morning with a sore bump, I keep lying on my tummy while sleeping! It's the most natural postition for me, even though I start off sleeping on my side! Poor bubs must be getting a bit squished. Oh also kept wakening myself up snoring last night :o It is REALLY bad, DH said it has wakened him up a few nights now. it doesn't go on for very long but jeez it's an awful noise. I was like this when I was pregnant with DD, just don't remember it being so bad early on!

Nic for your veg tbh it probably will keep in the fridge. Not sure about the tatties though (I hardly ever have them in so not sure when they start to go a bit off).

Cutterby I would be furious too and she would know about it! With DD MIL starting telling some of our friends before we got a chance too. She never done it this time!!

Charlie they are taking the pee with you I think, either that they are very incompetent! I suppose no news is good news?

  • Morning all, just had time for a quick lurk through what I've missed....

I saw that a couple of ladies were talking about having a rock hard bump - I get this too quite regularly and apparently it's Braxton Hicks. Well, the midwife told me it's "hard belly" - (in Dutch) and I looked up the translation on tinternet and that's what it said.
Anyway, it often happens to me later in the day and feels like someone took a bicycle pump to the bump! Sometimes it can help to do some yoga/relaxation type breathing - whatever works to relax. And also to find a better position - for example for me, slouching on the sofa makes it worse, sitting upright at the table can be better. Sometimes the only thing is to lie down. And also a nice soak in the bath can help.

No news is good news!! Doesn't do much for your stress levels I know, and I'd be pretty  but I'm sure if there was something, they'd have been on the phone asap... :rotfl: at the insane stage ;)

Aww teenie, shouldn't laugh but I thought it was only me who had those weird dreams - before my last scan I dreamed that hubs scanned me in the corridor in front of everyone  What time is your scan?

Hello all - this morning I have my 5th scan and it will probably be my last one. I am happy that I have been so closely monitored thanks to my meds and complications and I am also happy that they have checked things so well that my baby girl is healthy as can be at this stage!
    Wish us luck please

Woe is me. Temp is 38.8 and have been running a fever all night. Bannished DH to spare room and thought that would help me sleep but still knackered. SIL is popping to chemist to get some Boot stuff and I've taken paracetamol to hopefully bring temp down and relieve some aches. Took 2 an hour ago and no sign of them working yet.

A little bit worried inside as I never get flu and didn't have the jab but still not sure whether to. I know they say it's safe but they said that about the limb thing in the 70s. I generally feel if you can only have paracetamol then why is the jab so safe?

Lucozade by my side for energy and DH brought me weetabix up too but I've hardly touched it. Bubs isn't happy with all coughing and tummy rummbling too.
  • Morning all xx

Good luck Teenie and Salski :)

Oh Fanta hope you feel better soon. A tip for the coughing, especially on a night (and don't laugh:o) slap a load of Vicks on your feet and cover with socks, it really does work, don't ask me how but it does. And it's perfectly safe. :D
