I don't think weight gain in pregnancy is considered important any more which is why they don't monitor it.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Well just got back from A & E.
Got up this morning to find pink blood on wiping (on recurrant wipings as well). Called midwife who said go to a&e.
got there at 7.15am and just got home ouch.
Had scan and babys fine although camera shy (think i will be team yellow against my will at this rate) Checked cervix no more blood there.
Have no idea what it was they have swabbed for infection and will let me know if there is anything there.
Scared me to death. And still a little nervous now.
Have consultant appointment on thursday so i can at least have another check up.
Alamaya, glad bubs is ok. Take it easy now hun. x x
I have put 10 pound on in 21 weeks :eek:Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
I have put on 14lbs at 29 weeks, but thats so much better than last time lol. With DD I went from 20st to 25st5lbs the week before I gave birth. However I lost this weight within a year (despite being lazy and hating diets). My favourite midwife said that "it doesnt matter how much weight you gain, as baby will only take what they need". So basically if you do gain a load that isnt baby its nothing to worry about, its just a project to work on once baby arrives. Lots of walks in the park with buggy help

Afternoon ladies, just a quick check in as i'm at center parcs, and the wifi is rubbish.
Went to the spa yesterday and a lovely lady working in there, told me that i should only have paid pregnancy rate (i'd never heard of it....they don't advertise it). So instead of i being £36, it was only £10. Admittedly there wasn't many things i was allowed to do in the spa, but it was still relaxing and i got to chill with the girls :-)
Regarding weight gain....i've put on at least 1 stone 2lbs and i'm 28+1 (am i in 3rd trimester now?....wow, thats come quick), i think by the time we get home i'll have put on a few more :-)
Right, going to try to run back a few pages and catch up. Labour vibes to those wanting them :-):)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

Hey everyone. Hope you're all okay and the poorly people are feeling better.
I *think* that the Boots Glycerine Throat Patilles are okay in Pregnancy, but I would check. They come in Blackcurrant or Strawberry.
I've just about kept up over the weekend, but haven't posted. It wasn't a great weekend, esp. the bit involving the 5 1/2 month old kitten with diarrhoea.
Was at the hospital to see the doctor yesterday. Waited for nearly an hour to be seen. Saw a lovely midwife first, who did my BP, she also wanted a urine sample but I didn't have one, didn't think they'd want one, but it's okay as I have my 16 week check a week today.
She said they're not meant to try to listen to the heartbeat at this stage (15+1) but she could have a go as I had 'a nice flt stomach' (not sure where she got that idea from!). Baby was being shy though, and everytime she picked up a couple of beats he/she would move, but we got it in the end. Was really amazing to hear.
I saw a registrar, but one who knew what he was talking about. He'd just been reading up on my meds and was happy for me to stay on all of them. We had a good chat and I'm booked in for extra growth scans for 28 and 32 weeks. They'll decide then whether I'll get one at 36 too. I've to keep an eye out for any signs of pre-term labour. Basically if I'm not sure of anything, contact them. They were really surprised that the gastro registrar hadn't done anything, ie, contact them for reports and discuss the meds etc.
Picked up my Bounty pack on the way home which was nice. I also got my free Huggies pack from Asda the other day.
Gender scan is now on Sunday, managed to get it at the scan place closer to home too. DH's shifts were changed, so we don't have to go to Glasgow now.
Off to Glasgow Fort tonight though, should be umm, interesting.
I like the birth plans. I have strong opinions on some things already, so these give me a good basis for my own plan.
And after that essay, I'll leave you all in peace. :rotfl::heart: Mummy to an amazing little girl0 -

Blooming heck. Maybe I haven't measured right? I'm 11st bang on and I was 10.4 at my booking in appt.I don't think weight gain in pregnancy is considered important any more which is why they don't monitor it.
It's not something I'm worried about I just don't feel like I have put much on so was asking out of curiosity.
The main weight gain in the last trimester and I am coming into that now so all may change.
Thank the lord for a summer baby, lots of walking with the pram.0 -
