would give the antenatal ward a ring and see what they say... It might be something simple like a water infection...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Morning ladies.
I keeping a numb right hand and ring finger. I get terrible pins and needles. I had carpal tunnel with DD I'm worried it's back. I'm struggling to type this.
have a word with your MW, I have been getting accupuncture on the NHS as I chased up my MW as soon as I started feeling it, now its not too bad. I have also been doing hand excercises that the physio gave me. Stretching fingers out, masaging between fingers (acupressure
points) trying to sleep with hands flat etc.

On the bright side I'm not too far behind you with maternity leave. I have about 6 weeks to go.

Hey peeps
Hope everyone's well, congratulations Fuzz (don't think I said that already), can't wait to see pics! Good luck Emsy and everyone else about to pop, speedy labour vibes and hope it is as easy as can be!
Managed to drag OH baby shopping yesterday, was so nice to spend a bit of time together talking about baby stuff - made it all a bit more realTried out what felt like 1000s of buggies, loved the bugaboo (but not the price) and still loved the Sola, love the flexibility of the bugaboo (even being able to drag it on sand on the beach) but realistically would only need that very occasionally and we could use a sling.
OH was fab - really got the hang of the buggies (just like gadgets!) We were in John Lewis and the sales assistant said the wheels didn't come off something - he reached down and took one off saying yes they do lol! He was also v sweet looking in wardrobes saying aww at the teeny clothes (I did have a bit of a giggle! so he then started criticising the design and lack of soft close lol!)
I think we will probably end up with the Sola or possibly the Zoom from M&P, we're planning on going there one night this week as the shop we tried only had an old model of the Sola and no Zoom.
Struggling to find many reviews of either which makes it more difficult - really need to know whether either will be okay on rough ground (watching OH play rugby) not really something that I could try out in the shops! Went off the Bugaboo looking at reviews - some people rave about it but there are almost as many bad reviews, so OH is breathing a sigh of relief!!
The Sola is the top in the Which best buy tables (I think it might be one from a couple of years ago) so may just go for that, then buy carrycot secondhand from ebay.
Sorry - just realised how much I've waffled on, just so excited to be looking at baby stuff - seems a bit more real now
Hugs to all of you and your bumps

Afternoon ladies
Just been lurking for the last 24 hrs, got a really bad headache yesterday after work and it got so bad I ended up throwing up! Last night felt really out of sorts and ended up going to bed about 7.15pm!
Still not 100% cleared up yet but is a lot better (thanks whoever it was who suggested coffee the last time this happened it seems to have helped).
Was hoping to hear news if Emsy and Hibbi hope everyone is ok!
Lauren hope your ok.
Sammy I would second Lasinoh for your nips.

Morning ladies, rather peed off with OH today. As some of you who have been on this thread a while know, a couple of months ago he was made redundant, a big worry at time with me not working either. Fortunately he was offered a new job fairly quickly, but it has been bundled up in red tape ever since and he's been waiting for a start date. He's now found out that there's no budget for his position till 2011, so they want him to start first week of January, just before I'm due !! Obviously he won't qualify for paternity leave and I doubt they will let him take any time off at a moments notice, just after starting the job.
He doesn't want to even ask at the moment, as he's too scared of rocking the boat and losing the job completely. But where does that leave me? What if they don't even allow him time off to be at the birth, let alone any extra days? Its such bad timing, we will manage with him being at home for a couple of months and no income, and it would have been great if the time had coincided with my EDD but I can't make the baby come earlier just to fit in with everything. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
my poor pg brain is completely blagged. I hate typing up OH's appraisal, but if I dont do it neither will he and so far every year I have done it for him he has had a good payrise.......grrrr just wish my brain would defog so I can get it all done and dusted then watch naff daytime TV.
Hugs MI3 - only possible solution is for him to see if they are sympathetic to his plight, Maybe even offer to work for nothing for 2 weeks in Dec to make up the time in advance? Hope something pops up.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Afternoon ladies, just a quick check in, haven't read back but hope everyone's ok??
Having a crappy day so far, my mum (horrendously long story, short version is she's the kind of person who should never have been allowed to have children and we haven't spoken in over two years) has told [STRIKE]everyone [/STRIKE] lots of people in our area that I'm pregnant, along with the comment "well I don't see why she's having another" - and it's really really upset me. I haven't told her I'm pregnant, obviously, but I put the scan pic as my profile pic on FB so she's obviously seen it, but it's not her place to tell anyone - especially not MY friends who I'd not told purely cos I'd not seen them - and how dare she make that comment?! Apparently she said something else too, but my friend wouldn't tell me what is was cos she said it was "too bad" - so now I'm thinking the worst, and I can well imagine what has been said, and that's upsetting me too. Hubs thinks I'm being daft, letting her get to me, and I know I am really, and it was my choice to not speak to her anymore, but I just expected everyone to be pleased for us - it's a bloody shock to find out they're not - especially your own mother! Then again, dunno why I expected any different really, I know full well what she's like... Anyone got a spare Mum???
Anyway, I've rambled on too much, and for longer than I should, got an engineer coming at some point between 1 and 3 to sort the oven, bet he'll get here at 3.20(!)
Hugs xxxxxAll horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl.
