I felt like this when my boss asked me - but no one else seems to understand why it was a totally inappropriate question! Same as no one understands that saying "ooh you're big for 7 months" can be upsetting...maybe it's just when you're pregnant you suddenly understand these things?
I had someone ask me if it was twins one time. But (aside from my brothers who I joke with) even before experiencing pregnancy I would never pass comment on a person's size whether or not they were pregnant.

Nearly everyone I told asked me If it was planned. I suppose they knew we wanted to stop at 2. I just got used to it. I always reply with 'no, but it's a happy surprise'.

Then they say I must be mad having 3 so close together. I think they are perfectly spaced and will be good ages to play with and look out for each other. I may decide I was mad to have another in April though lol.

I guess most people just think that cos me and OH aren't married then it isn't planned? I think more people 'expect' babies from married couples. Plus most people at work don't know I've been in a relationship for 5 years and I guess assume I'm not???

Either way it's bl00dy rude. Having said that, a colleague told me a few weeks ago she was PG and I straight away asked her if it was planned - I could've died........it was only cos she already has 2 and has always said it was enough for her so I was genuinely shocked when she told me. Plus we are close anyway so she wasn;t too offended but as soon as I asked her I could've kicked myself. She did plan it btw....ha ha

My boss also asked me if it was planned and when I said yes he asked if we had used p1ss sticks????
I had to burst out laughing (we did use a CBFM) but he was so direct. He is a very tactless type of person anyway so he saw no problem in asking me and he always puts his foot in it.

I'm friends with his wife so when I told her what he had said and laughed about it, apparently she went home and gave him a good telling off. He came in the next day with his tail between his legs....ha ha ...

    Hi Sequeena

and welcome, there is a thread also running for those less than 12 weeks pregnant. You will find some great support and advice from other ladies in the early days on there.

That's early - our first appointment is supposed to be at 8-10 weeks. (Or at least it was four years ago - I haven't checked to see if it's changed.)
