All I want for Christmas is to receive my nice 'glow' that is taking its time to reach me. If you can take this ongoing sickness and diawoowoo too that would be much appreciated.
I have been a very good girl this year (sort of) but good enough to receive a glow that even ready brek claims it can give.
I leave you a cookie and glass of milk in anticipation. I may eat these before your arrival but in my condition that can't be helped. I am sure you will appreciate the sentiment that it's the thought that counts.
Cheers
Charlie!

Had my 20 week scan today at 21 weeks. All normal except i have two lobes on my placenta, so is on front and back? They didn't say much so i assume it isn't going to be a massive problem. Anyone else have any experience of this?
*wanders over from the Parents Thread*
I had a two-lobed placenta, it just means that they have to be extra careful checking it after you deliver to make sure none of it split off unnoticed and it still lurking inside you. The two-lobed placenta is normally sort of heart shaped, although it still looks like a massive freaky chunk of liver, just a nicer shaped one _pale_

also my physio suggested icing the inside of my wrist to reduce the swelling.
Butter cream or Royal?? :rotfl:

It just says on babycenter and others that orange is a bit acidic. Maybe not good for empty stomachs?
I like the pasta idea...I'll try and have some pasta when I start contracting thenLove pasta. And carbs are meant to be good for energy.
Ah ok, yeah that makes sense - I'll get apple then.
Yum to pasta - I love those horrible greasy cheese and tomato pastas you can get in Tesco for £1.20 - will maybe get one to put in the freezer! My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Charlie, that made me laugh. I'm not sure about this glow thing either, I've been told I am glowing a couple of times but each time I have been wearing a fair amount of make up
Eww about the placenta - I had no idea this also had to come out before I got pg, then my friend told me in gory detail!! I think her term may have been flob as well!
Lilac, have you got pre eclampsiaboo. Hope you have plenty of help with the move and it all goes well xx

Ooo I like butter cream the best lol.
Thanks Cat, after reading up online I thought it was carpal tunnel. She said it was unusual to be in my ring finger the most. But anything I've read says that's a common sign.
I feel I'm constantly shaking my hands to get feeling into them.
I'll try the cold compress thing on my wrists to see if that helps.
Do you know if you can get braces/ splints to wear at night other than the docs? I also had it before falling pregnant but its got a lot worse. My fingers feel really 'thick' and swollen but look normal.
EDIT I've found some wrist splints online. Ill look around for cheap ones to try. I'm sure I've seems sport supports in Poundland, I wonder if they will have something I can use in bed to stop my wrists bending?:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Oh and looks like my driving test on thurs is going to be cancelled cos of the stupid weather. Pfff, next available date is mid Jan when I'll be 32/33 weeks...........great!!
Did it though... Passed with 3 minor faultsAnybody struggle with walking? I think I give up. I walked 10 minutes into town today and ended up having to get the bus back as it was hurting so much. I'm only 31+5. I'm sure I've read about people at 40 weeks walking 2 miles etc to try and bring labour on. I can't see that happening with me.
And should I get a gym ball? I can't decide. I'm going to ask if I'm allowed to take one to hospital. But for a fiver, is it worth getting one even if I'm not allowed to take one to hospital?
I used my gym ball loads last time, and spent the whole of my labour sat on one (mine, and then the hospitals) I lent it to a friend though and it just came back to me with a broken valve so I'm very  about it...lilian1977 wrote: »Why no orange juice? I've packed some small cartons, should I change to apple? I've also packed some lucozade tablets and intend to put some muesli bars in there this weekend.
With DD1 I had the synto as I got out of the birth pool and midwife pulled the cord to deliver the placenta... With DD2 I asked specifically that the cord stop pulsating before it was cut, and that it was cut before they gave me any synto... They were very good and followed my wishes... I shall probably do the same this time around... I've considered just letting it go naturally, but I bled an awfull lot last time, they were getting worried about it and I want to avoid too much bleeding really...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Afternoon ladies
I have just glanced through the posts as I was eating my sandwich and all the talk of placenta was making me feel a bit bleughh _pale_
I can't actually remember what happened with me!
Ejecoms aagghhh sorry thought you would have been having Mummy cuddles now boooo!
Nic regarding the GTT the consultant told me it was now standard at our hospital but not sure if he was just making me feel better as I have a high BMI. Great news about your midwife and a homebirth, will save you having to travel at leas"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. Not sure if you can get them anywhere else, I could do with new ones, mine are falling apart! I know exactly what you mean about your fingers feeling thick - I press about 4 keys at once when trying to type! Can you get in touch with the physio yourself?0
